    It's a bunch of reserved space most likely. Otherwise things such as what happened to me with the old Xbox 360 version of FFXI will happen. A new expansion will come out, and you wont be able to install it on the HDD anymore since with all previous expansions adding up to it, it would be larger than the common HDD was at the time with nothing else on it. Surely that's less of an issue now that they come in Terabite formats, but still. It's good to reserve space ahead of time.

    Ah ok reserved space. TBH I totally forgot about that on my ps2 and ffxi. Now that does make sense. Thanks Surian. Man you would think by now with like you said large hard drives we wouldn't need it. LOL
