Why not an ingame damage tracker?

To be honest, I have never seen the amount of bad behaviour and attitudes I currently see in this game than I ever did in FFXI.

If you think the XI community is not elitist, you are just lying to yourself. How many times while playing that game have I seen DREM weapons only, paladin aegis/ochain only, need 3 song bard for X. The people in that game would rather sit in town and shout for a member for 6 hours over helping newer players that didn't play the game for a decade straight, that's where that community's elitism comes from, the people that played for 10 years think any new person needs to put in 10 years to be up to par with them, that's why they cling so tightly to their sidegrades and gear swaps.

As far as parsers go, my opinion is there are people that like them, and people that don't like the numbers they see when they are parsed. No content requires them, but no content requires threat meters, yet we have one built into the UI. Some people will be pricks no matter what, parsers can be helpful, but to keep them out because someone might have their feelings hurt is just Kindergarten behavior, maybe we should have guildhests on cyberbullying, waving back when someone waves to you, and how to undercut on the markets without others feeling butthurt.
