I have nothing against parser addons/features, I just don't like the wankers that use them.
I LIKE the fence. I get 2 groups to laugh at then.

"LFM serious Ruda EX farm. Lowest DPS kicked and replaced every wipe."
That's why. Parsers turn folks into raging morons.

Who are the morons, the people that make those groups or the ones that join them? If you don't want to get stuck in a group like that, don't join, at least they would put it in party finder so you can decide not to even interact with that person. People that are afraid of parsers are just like those that wear tanking jewelry on black mage, or dps in fists of earth on monk, they know they know they can't survive the mechanics, or in the case of a parser know they don't have grasp enough of their class/job, that they do anything to try to hide that fact and hope the rest of the group can make up for them.
My two cents on this topic is that despite the parser having a place with highly motivated competitive players looking to perfect their gaming, it is also an outlet for the less focused more violent type of players who are just looking to strut around and vituperate the less competitive more passive players.
The community as it is ( at least in my server) has a healthy degree of competitiveness while at the same time giving the more casual players their place and space to enjoy the game. I can not accept players who misuse these tools to create unwanted or violent criticism on players who are perfectly happy with the way they play ( specially if we are talking on a non competitive environment, like CT or old end game content).
Everyone has a right to spend their time and energies in a clean, fun, environment without being forced by the more competitive players to stick to their style of gameplay. This is the reason why I believe that a damage parser will not be as useful as one would like to think, after all, If your premade is clearing end game and kicking butt, there is no reason whatsoever to have this tool other than cater to your own vanity or ego.
As the cliche phrase says " there is no I on teamwork", therefore anything achieved should be a case of teamwork rather than personal prowess.
