    Hmm... I'm trying to place where I've seen all of this rage before...? Oh yeah, these same forums during the issues plaguing Phase 4, EA and Launch.... same errors, same reason, same rage. Yesterday was release day for XIV on Steam for 50% off. This means all the new users who bought it there spent yesterday downloading and patching the game and are now slamming the login servers today.

    Ima stay at home mommy with 2 kids and my hubby is in the military. FFXIV is one of those few things that keep me sane and give me my "mommy time" I wish I had a job right about now, I feel like such a nerd waiting on servers to come back up. I guess it doesn't help knowing their going down later tonight anyway but at least we knew about that one. I just get so into what im doing it was like giving a kid a sucker to make them happy then ripping it out of their mouth and trashing it. Made me wanna cry T.T Lol j/k To be honest I dont care how long its down for as long as they fix the problem long (er) term. No point putting a banaid on the problem for a temporary fix if its only gonna keep happening. If people are this upset now I can only imagine the outburst latet if they dont take care of it properly.

    It's not a button. you have to hit the server several times with a mallet and then turn a wrench. Also, make sure all of the dials are pointed the same way. They should also be checking to make sure that the CPU timing belt that controls the clock speed is lined up properly at TDC.

    I was seeing the same thing over level3 but they often have a moderate amount of packet loss. The tend to drop ICMP depending on load. But I was up in the 25% range starting in Denver. Smells like a fiber cut or DDoS

    I agree, people have the right to complain when there are errors such as this, and they should report and even complain about them, but the way many people have reacted to this is absolutely absurd. SE is not a terrible company because theirs servers go down on occasion, nor do they owe players recompense for something they've already publicly addressed and have said they're working on the issue.

    Complaining = okay
    Flipping the **** out = not okay

    Agreed. Although, in some cases this is a long term issue, and it affects the quality of play for those people.
