    PC and PS3 version

    Hi!

I have a little problem with how you wont be able to use your PC account on a PS3.

Basicaly im playing on PC and my brother does too, but his computer sucks so i figured he could play on ps3...

Now this is getting funny... We need to buy the game (35€ for downloadable version) so he can use the code to be allowed to play on PS3. If i want to play on PS3 too (it's easier when i go play with friends to grab my ps3 and play with them than grabing my biiiiig ass computer) i have to buy the game AGAIN for 35€ just to get the code and play on PS3.

Do i really have to buy the game TWICE so both accounts are usable on ps3?

I mean we have a code to play on pc already and if i buy the game on PS3 why cant i just play my accounts on PS3?

or at least can't i just buy a code for like 10€ to get acces to PS3 with my account?

Buying 2 games sounds a bit excessive to me. Mainly since we already paid twice for PC.

If anyone knows something i dont, please help me out with this ^^.

PS: The point of this topic isnt to know if pc or PS3 is better. I know PC is best but for ease when i dont play at home its much easier for me to grab my PS3 than my PC.

If you have a shared account one for ps3 and one for pc then you should be able to use both systems if you have a split account then you would need to purchase another copy...

    Correct.
On top of that, you need a separate PSN account per FFXIV account as well, so you need to make multiple users with each their own PSN ID if using the same PS3.

I started on the PS3 and then moved to PC myself. My other half and I have PC and PS3 codes on our FFXIV accounts. Between the two of us, we have 4 keys. 2 PC codes, 2 PS3 codes.

We both use Pc codes right now. And we both would like to be a le to play on PS3 cause right now we cant play together at the same time.

    We have separate psn accounts.

Im fine buying a PS3 game for 35€ and that will give me 1 code. But do i have to pay 35€ again to get a second code?
Since i want both accounts to be able to log on PS3

It is not a 'Dick move', but a Fiscal move. Yes, you can call it greedy, but considering the fact that they will let PS3 to transfer to PS4 for free (at cost of losing PS3 Access), and likely not charge PC players for the DX11 version (slated for next year), they have a lot of development costs, for each of the individual platforms, so of course, they need to subsidize that cost by charging for each platform. Now, I do think that they should offer a PSN discount for the duration of the STEAM SALE, but that's another topic altogether.

We pay a monthly fee for the game. That is where most of their revenue comes from regarding the game.

do you expect them to provide you with a free copy of the game for a different platform simply because you bought it for pc?

No but i was expecting that i could just buy 1 copy for both account since i already have Pc codes.

On ff11 if i wanted to load my acc on a xbox as long as i had the game, i could do it for free.

I wouldnt mind so much if after the first copy i could just pay 10€ to unlock PS3 access for à code and not having to buy 2 games fini only need one.

Fiscal move, not so much. They re already getting more than they spent monthly fees.
And like i said i wouldnt mind so much if i could just pourchase a code for a lower price, but buying 2 copies for a 70€ total is too much.
