Taking a lot longer in que for CT.

Last week, before 2.16, getting into CT would only take me about 10-15 minutes as a dps. After the 2.16 patch it's taking me on average 35 minutes to get into CT (not including the 5 to 10 minutes of people withdrawing because they want to skip to the end) and it's been consistent since the patch was released. Anyone know what came out in 2.16 that's making everyone suddenly want to que for CT, did SE lower the number of instances that could be running at a time?

I've been farming literally all week for the ballad boots and after about 30 attempts I finally found them, and of course lost the roll. Considering the fact that que time has just over doubled for me, I've not had time to do any other dungeons this week aside from the coil raid my fc did yesterday. Between the que time and the rediculously stupid drop system for CT, unless you get lucky, it's getting to the point that you either dedicate all your time to CT or you don't get your drop for the week.

For those people who would say "just farm for all your jobs" don't bother. If you want to farm drops for all your alts then it would literally take you 54 weeks to gear up all the jobs and I'm only interested in gearing up my bard atm. I'm not looking for a debate on drop, what I want to know is if anyone else is having the same issue with que times for CT since the 2.16 release.

actually there are only 6 sets of 6 pieces per set... so 36 weeks since SMN/BLM share, PLD/WAR share, and WHM/SCH share.

CT has been out for what? 10 weeks now? Meaning, 26 weeks to go and you should be able to gear every job.... Take first available and call it a day, seriously.

More so, if you are trying to gear your bard and have run CT 30 times this week, you should have 450 myth tomes by now... go buy Bard Sandals from Rowena for 425... and your problem is solved.

    Non-issue here.... NEXT!

    Party finder.

Seriously, more people should use it. I only ever entered CT through duty finder once, and that was my first time. Even if it takes just as long to actually get the party filled and queue for CT you get to chat and get a feel for you party. You're also not at the mercy of a random pop in the middle of questing. Also you can summon your chocobo. It's just all around better.

Lesser people doing CT now, that's why.

A few reasons contribute to this development. CT been out for some time, most players got their gears for main (alt) job, and some do not bother gearing up secondary, tertiary, quaternary... (alt) jobs; And don't you feel boring running the same dungeon ("raid") over and over again? Another important factor is recent reveal of new tomestone, myth tomestone uncapping, Bahamut Coil T1-T5 lockout removed in upcoming Patch 2.2 on March, which cause CT gears to be obsolete.

Of course I'll still be doing CT for now, every minor upgrade on gear is a good thing. But honestly I won't spend 15 hours (assume each run takes 30 mins) just to get a piece of CT gear. That less than 5 Vit and Dex upgrade from Ballad Boot won't save you from Titan WoL or secure your dps against Ifrit Nail, but more practice will.
