[Suggestion] Thought Fish Trophies Would Be Cool

As the title states being as we can create wall or other special furnishings from special drops from raids/instances why not implement a "taxidermy". Would be interesting to take those huge catches you get that register in Log mounted to show off. I'd imagine if it happened Carpentry class would be the ones capable of making the furnishings.

Met someone fishing today that said they thought an aquarium would be nice too. Not sure how that would work coding wise but still it's a nice thought as well. Better than spending all that time catching things only to either convert them into food or vendoring them. What do you all think?

Once I completed my fishing log and vendored all of my fish I then realized that they may one day be used for something. The Titanic Sawfish took me an entire week to catch and all you can do is vendor it? There's gotta be some future use right? That fish took me more time to get then my Relic. So, I went out and purchased one of every two-star fish from the MB and stuck them on my retainers "just in-case" they have a popular use some day. Six months later and I feel I may die before these fish do.

Lol tell me about it. I haven't completed log or even gotten fishing to 50 but I feel like even though im enjoying the act of fishing itself it could be useful for more than food or vendor trash. It'd be nice to walk into my own house with fc/ingame buddies and say yeah I caught that huge thing. Much like in RL you might get that buck, salmon, trout, or whatever mounted because you felt pride in getting something that large.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this area of the game is lacking. There are so many types of aquatic life that you can catch, all those detailed descriptions in the Fishing Guide - and the potential is (mostly) wasted.

I would love to see the ability to make trophies out of your catches, or even the ability to create aquariums for FC and personal housing.

I remember someone mentioning that people wanted an aquarium to put the fish we fished up. I wouldn't mind having something like that if we can't have mounted trophies. Personally I adore the mounted trophy idea! LOTRO had that.

100% love this idea! As Bori pointed out, LotrO has this very mechanic in game. Fishing is after all considered sport. We need to show off ^_^
Also would be really cool if they did the aquarium thing but not sure if that is practical given the size of some of the swimmers =/ (I for one and not against building a 1,000 gal tank XD )But lets keep fingers crossed. Aquarium vanity pieces usually sell really well on market.

i have been asking for both of these since beta <3 hope they allow both... The fish tank of course wouldn't be able to hold sharks or the giant fish but there are nice fish like the silverfish, goldfish, fighting fish are pretty too . I wish they added this instead of the juke box idea
