Bring back the 1.0 OST

2.0 has a godly OST and Soken's music is great but 1.0 had godly music as well. For the 1.0 soundtrack to just be tossed aside seems like such a waste. Please bring it back! I'd love to see you commission Nobuo Uematsu for more music as well. I see no reason why we can't have both Soken and Uematsu! Please please please!!

You do realize most of ARR's OST already is from 1.0? The only tracks from 1.0 that haven't really been reused are most of the old zone and battle themes, and even then, it's entirely possible Soken will add more 1.0 tracks into the game as the game evolves and expands.

Many songs that play in game are from 1.0's OST. The music that plays in Haukke and Copperbell HMs played in 1.XX's Aurum Vale if I recall what I've read correctly (and Dzmael possibly, I didn't get anywhere that far in 1.XX lol). The music that plays for Ifrit and Garuda also played in 1.XX from what I've heard. Some of the music that plays in the story cutscenes is from 1.XX as well.

Also the starting cutscenes from when you make a character (on the carriage/ship to your respective town) it plays the original themes for Thanalan/Black Shroud/La Noscea.

I'm sure more tracks will be used in the future.

I kind of wish they would use the old Uldah, Limsa and Gridania themes for the night time music they would work really well. Twilight Over Thanalan at night running through the desert.

Why are you implying adding yet another useless thread about this is "emphasis"? You'd make more by "adding" to another thread asking the same thing - one thing they have in common with your "creation" is the absolute lack of numbers to make this a reasonable request. It's a silly demand nonetheless - there are numerous reasons there are new tracks, and there are tracks from 1.0 everywhere, still giving the proper feeling that ARR is the same "setting".

However, your mindset heavily implies you don't care about the intended setting of the art, lore and music teams and just want your fleeting desires fulfilled. You also clearly do not use the search function in the forums - which is included in alien concepts such as "common sense" and "netiquette".

So yeah, for the same reason I don't like people screaming out of nowhere in my ears or putting their legs on the way people walk so they can trip, I didn't find it the smartest thread of the year.
