    Gathering and Crafting are so broken atm, Devs, Yoshi P plz read

    Theres really no point on leveling stuff (economically talking) at least on Hyperion Server since Everything is super duper cheap, for crafting well the reason is that it lacks stuff like enhacements for armor or enchats, etc, there are people that have leveled stuff just for fun but many want it to make some gils, id suggest like putting craft specialties but limit it to only 2 crafts can be specced by char, maybe able to change it with a in game fee or an item, that will limit people a bit but itll become better for the economy of crafters, and for gather its toooooo damn easy, needs to be a bit more random on what u get, having everything in one node and able to choose it breaks the price of stuff on AH, many of us want to buy a house when personal housing is avaiable, but only people that made tons of money will be able at the beggining, its just my opinion, idc about flamers either, this is for the devs and yoshi p.

    Crafting economy is poor because dungeon stuff is better by design. This is straight from Yoshi's mouth and thus it is unlikely to change. This means that demand will be low to non-existant which means prices go down. Medicines and such suck because of RMT concerns which are, quite frankly stupid. RMT is a problem it always will be. They will always find a way so why make your player base suffer?

    As for gathering? Well, only the unspoiled nodes are limited as to how much you can gather in a certain time frame, but again... low demand = low prices.

    Get rid of RMT and prices will go up. Every day I see the same bot day after day. I reported him and he is still there gathering 24/7 and flooding the market.

    Making it a bit more random with diferent nodes spawning on all the map not just some areas helps getting up the prices too, even with bots.

    Are people buying those 1000+ shards packages? I always try to get a 100-something one even if I have to pay a bit more per shard, of course that's no proof it wasn't a bot but it's at least less likely. Support the real gatherers, yo! ;P

    Like in 1.0, nodes were far apart each other, but dropped more materials and you couldn't target them, so I guess no teleportation.

    Maybe it would help a bit to bring back the gathering mini game from 1.0

    Also like to point that people asking for crafted items to be better than Dungeon ones, are idiots, if dungeon items are worse than crafting there is Zero reason to do them & if you need to craft (leveling crafting, gear up, meld e.t.c.) to do end game then the games not worth playing as people generally play mmos just so they can do the fighting aspects. Take that away & give it to crafter who charge to much & everyone has access to rare Bis Powerful items then your not going to have anyone playing.
    Simple solution, put rare mats (5% chance to get it) for highlevel crafting in endgame dungeons.
    Make it that only highlevel gears crafted with these mats would be a bit better (5 ilevel lower, but with the option to put materias in it) than the gears from the endgame dungeon. Then people would still run the dungeon, to get the dungeon gear or the mats for the other gear.

    This is SO ironic given SE's fatuous reason for not allowing Legacy->non-Legacy transfers is that doing so would destroy the economies of less affluent servers.

    I've seen it myself, crafted level 50 gear is a lot cheaper on Hpyerion than Phoenix for example yet Hyperion players are supposed to be so rich that if they moved to Phoenix they'd destroy Phoenix's economy.

    What complete bollocks.

    That creates a progression bottleneck at the cutting edge, and the habits of the cutting edge trickle down to other players.

    Crafted gear should be a way to catch up to the next current tier of content. The main issue is that materia has thrown a wrench into that idea due to how stat caps work per piece of gear. I'm starting to think materia as currently implemented needs a real overhaul, and should be changed from a socket system to something like an armor enchant. At least that way you can continue to keep materia benefits on a leash while not entirely killing crafted gear.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
