i86 vs i90

I beat T5 on MNK when I only had ilvl86-ilvl87 gear, I was wearing overmeld Choker and Ring with VIT+10 each. I was 20ish HP away from 5K HP but I you dont need anymore than 4.2k to survive T5.

There's your answer . Go ahead and gear it. Either way we'll be farming coil and and myth in a month anyway. I was gonna gear my PLD in CT armor (currently i70), but by the time I do, 2.2 will be out so why bother? I just put it on my brd since i play that class more.

The real question is...when 2.2 comes out and you have your classes in i90, will you gear your mnk for your coil grp, or will you gear the class that you like the most with the new tome gear? :3

My MNK will get all the +i90 gear that I can get to start with. For the good of the group! I love my monk, but I just think WAR is super-much more fun, partly due to the fact that its so easy to get groups and there is more challenge to it than PLD.

If you feel gearing your PLD will give you access to more content then I'd suggest doing that.

I did a little bit of spending today... WAR is now i78, PLD is i83, they will each get another iLVL or 2 before the week is over, more if I can manage to scrounge up some drops (4 Garuda kills and 5 Ultima kills with no Tank accessories dropping).

Killed Ultima 4 times yesterday as PLD....and Striking ring drops 3 straight followed by aiming choker....but when i go as mnk or bard i get nothing >_>. RNG man...rng smh lol

If HP is your only concern, just spend it elsewhere.

However, i90 MNK STR is a little bit different than your current MNK's STR (the primary attribute you focus on). If you had T5 and Ex primals on farm, I'd say it wouldn't matter. But since you don't, you probably should be gearing up the class you take into coil.

As someone mentioned, your myth purchases really won't matter here in a month due to the cap possibly being removed and T1-5 being farmable.
