i86 vs i90

Hi guys - I will try to be as absolutely succinct as I can, although that is not my forte:

I "main" a MNK in my coil team, but across two chars I have:

Ehatye Feytes: i86 MNK, i81 PLD, i75 WAR, i72 SCH
Nyne Feytes: i85 BLM

The BLM is moot, I just spend all my myth on him, he has 4 coil pieces and is on his way to being i90 in 2 weeks with no other drops. The only thing i70 on my MNK is earrings, while my PLD carries 4 i70 accessories. My question, or conundrum, pertains to how I should proceed spending my mythology tomes. Should I finish going i90 on my MNK as priority #1 for T5 (we have t1-t4 on farm, and are working on X modes until I think we are ready), or would it be acceptable/advisable to spend some Myth tomes on my Tank chars?

WAR is my favorite class in the game, and hes rockin' a mix between allagan, Hoplite, Darklight, and CT, while my PLD is i80-i90 on the left side, and i70 on the right (aside from Hero Fending ring). I don't have a ton of interest in spending on my SCH, as I literally only use him in a pinch, or in T2. My plan was to just say "F-it" on the MNK, wait for my Allagan Head/Hands/Ear/Ring (to finish i90), and to start buying tank gear, starting with Heros Bracelet and Earring, and farm the crap out of Ultima/Garuda for tank necklace/ring. If I'm diligent, that would leave me with an i86 PLD, an i81 WAR, and an i86 MNK.

Sorry for the long post, I'm wrapping up. The reason I have so much focus on my tanks is that A. I'm pretty good at it, B. It is INFINITELY easier to get X mode groups on my tanks and C. i86 is pretty darn good for my MNK, and I feel like I don't NEED to get to i90 to beat T5 and continue to progress, I have something like 4700 hp in group with food.

Any thoughts, ruminations, practical applications, new perspectives, advice, etc? I don't want to gimp my coil group by spending myth on what is essentially an alt, but in terms of making my own personal progress, I feel allocating my mythological resources to my tanks will help me the most.

Yes. 4700 is enough. A full i90 healer will be way lower.
4500 is close of the limit if the fireballs are taken by 3 people, our OT (or WHM) uses Stoneskin and our Scholar uses some shield (I don't know the spell in english ) to prevent some death. You don't need to be i90 for T5.

No, you don't need i90 to beat T5. I think T5 was build around players having approximately i80-i82, when challenging it when it was released. Being i90 is just overgearred for the whole of BC.

For DPS a min of 4.1K HP is required to survive 4 stack fireball.

Anyway, it really depends on what kind of build you're going for with MNK. Do you need the Hero accessories, or are going after an Allagan or Primal one? If the latter, don't bother to buy the Myth and either farm Primals or wait til 2.2; the difference isn't that big, esp if you have a melded i70. If you need a left-hand piece to replace an i70/i80, then buying the Myth may be fine, but you need to weigh your desire to get that i90 vs waiting a month to farm Coil for the "better" piece.

Same thing for tank...what are you going for? If you want an Allagan piece, don't buy the Myth at this point and just wait til 2.2.

I was MTing Garuda X for you, I think, on my PLD. One shotted it iirc.

I am going in Coil as MNK, so any MNK gear is mine, and I roll against DRG for accessories, but yes, I am going for Allagan for my MNK to get BiS, eventually.

On my tanks, my ultimate goal would be to get my WAR/PLD geared completely to do stuff like X modes and Leviathon outside of my FC.

I think from the posts here I will go with what I want to do, in spending myth on my tanks and spending time farming CT/Ultima/Garuda for more tank gear.

Yeah, I mean - I was more asking about if I am being a D to my coil group by not spending my myth on my coil job, or if my effectiveness would be at least reasonably similar between i86 or i90. I wasn't sure if there was a clear break point or a razor thin dps check that that iLVL increase would dramatically effect in T5. Videos can only tell us so much.

Nope, you are fine with what you have right now. How you want to spend your myth is your choice. You are well geared for it.
