There are 3 kinds of people in MMOs. 1) Those who bot. 2) Those who do not care. 3) Those who complain about bots because they don't understand how to make their bots work.

Healer strike is ridiculously foolish and accomplishes nothing
And there are those who resort to stupid comments like these because they don't like being called cheaters.
Go ahead and try to justify how botting can be in any means acceptable. I've heard it all though so my suggestion is you don't even bother wasting your energy coming up with something.
If you cheat in hockey you get a penalty, cheat in basketball you get a penalty, cheat in paintball you get a penalty, cheat on an exam you get kicked out of school. Cheat in Pokemon you're banned from Wifi. You can cheat all you want on a single player game because it's only your game, you're not playing with anyone else.
This is not a single player game. You do not own anything. You do not own the rights to your character. You are not entitled to anything. You oblige Square-Enix's terms and conditions. By cheating, you hinder other players, regardless of what sort of meaningless conclusion or justification you can attempt to make otherwise.
I take it that you're one of those that complains because you can't make your bot work lol. I'm one of those that does not care either way. As long as the person's bots are not having an effect on me directly, I don't have a problem with it. Gather and craft bots: I've never had a problem with. Teleport and such: Never had a problem with. Claiming bots: This poses a slight problem, but it's very easy to work around it. My suggestion to you is to stop complaining about that which you have no control over and go and enjoy your game. If botters cause you NOT enjoy your game, go play a single player game. And there are those who resort to stupid comments like these because they don't like being called cheaters.

tl;dr: Deal or quit.

Thanks but I don't and won't bot. That's a very rude statement.
Edit: Also, botting doesn't just effect the person who does it. It effects everyone in some way or another. And honestly I do wish there were a way to know who makes what because I feel bad buying from a botter than from an honest crafter. I would think that if you were really indifferent on the matter, why would you be posting here? It feels much more like you're defending it, but I wonder why?

Can you tell me why I would need to accept something like this? The only good that comes from bots is being able to spot one. That way you have an easier time finding people you can trust.
The only real argument here is the time advantage. I'm fairly sure you can't bot HQ items, and really that's the only thing worth it on the market, especially as time goes on and more and more items are introduced into the economy. I'm more concerned with the fact there is no limitation to how many items can be introduced into the market than I am about bots.
Just like FF11, in the end it will boil down to rare craft item drops/+3's and the rest of the items you currently see on the market will be complete junk. It's 5 months into the game and it's already happening.
