Why botting is stupid(IMO)

I for one feel that if DDR styled controls were introduced to crafting, botters would literally be cut 25%.

Most people actually crafting these days are watching a movie doing so, eventually you'll run out of movies. I want to dance while crafting.

People who use bots are cheaters. There is no justification for it. I've seen a couple of people who go on these long bullshit tangents trying to justify it but it's ridiculous. It doesn't matter if you're "hindering others or not", you're cheating if you do it, so get out. Besides, there's virtually no way you can not hinder people in some way shape or form from botting, regardless of whether it's battling or crafting or farming. Crafting bots allow crafters to get ahead of others at an unfair advantage. They can make more money faster and supply items faster. All because they cheated, because they're too damn lazy to do it themselves.

Why do you think people didn't use to craft bot on FFXI compared to FFXIV?
The difference is: on FFXIV it's about having the time more than anything else (hell you can even level a craft off leves) whereas FFXI you needed money mainly so it was an actual achievement to have a craft at max level.
Just look at FFXIVpro and you'll see how many have multiple level 50 crafts. It's just about having it max level on FFXIV rather than doing something with it. So many crafters, yet there's not a lot of gear/items for sale, at least on my server.
Make stuff harder to get (so it's more expensive) and maybe crafting more simple (simple enough so people don't feel the need to bot) and you'll get rid of botters.

The thing is, they've already made it so much easier. It's not that crafting was hard either. People are just trying to get ahead of everyone else in anyway they can. Even at the loss of their honor, respect, and pride.

I did not say easier, I said more simple. meaning for example less actions, less pressing buttons, less long, anything.

I actually would like if it was harder, if materials were more expansive, less supply. Means less crafters and less multiple 50 crafts. And no SP on locals, just guild marks (lots of people level of leves and call themselves crafters)

I'm agree with this, i only do locals for Marks, not for sp.

I have a list of bots in Wutai server, and also i reported they multiple times, but SE, dont care atm, and i hope they will take actions in the future.

I think many will agree that there hasn't been much done concerning those players who have been using third-party tools. You could blame the condition of the game for this I suppose, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a great deal of players suddenly disappear at some point, perhpas when the game itself improves.

It takes way longer to rank up doing leves then buying or gathering materials and then crafting them out. You get what you work at. Leves are good for casual players. Grinding out ranks are good for people that have lots of time. I'm more concerned about people botting and calling themselves crafters rather than saying some elitist slander about doing leves.
