...why haven't they thought that instead of mining and harvesting at nodes for crystals, they can do crafting leves to obtain said crystals in higher amounts and plus gil. I brought this up to my FC last night and everyone agreed that yes, RMT bots (or mainly the people controlling them) have yet to understand that if you craft for guildleves, you can get both gil and crystals. But wait, people are going to say, "don't give them any ideas!" How can I if they don't use the forums? :P

Seriously, it's so tedious even for me to harvest/mine to obtain crystal shards on my one character for crafting, yet when I did crafting leves, I can get up to 32 shards after turning in an item PLUS get gil.

That's the thing, RMT farm items 24/7 if not close to that. 100 or so leves can only last so long, I once spent 100 leves in one day to give you a timeframe of how fast it can be spent.

Oh, I know about the leve allowances and all. I am just poking fun at the fact is that if all they do is harvest crystals, they can get a ton more off leves, and gil as well. Right now I'm going to wait until the weekend so my own leve allowances go back up.

+ 8 leve allowance daily? 8 characters per server. If they made 8 characters per server...? With so many servers, as long as they can keep track of things, they should never run out of leve slots?

Of course, you could get them to run WP/AK and spend the Philo Tomes on crafting materials and list those on the market boards too.

If they were smart they'd also know that to spam a potential customer with the same message within a short arc of time is a bad, poor commercial strategy that provokes irritation and annoyance, too. Yet it's all they'll do.

This should answer the OP, though a and c pretty much same thing.

At least from the bots that were around on my server
1) They teleport (underground most of the time) from node to node
2) Doing only 1 harvest at each node, making the nodes never change their spots (they will not disappear and refresh to max after a certain number of hits)

They don't need to be by their computer, they don't need to wait for their leves to "refresh" but can keep doing it 24/7 gathering something that sells quick at a much faster rate than you can typically gather at (they teleport).

They will make tons more gil in 12hrs than the 3 leve allowance they get every 12hrs.



And by the way, is it still that bad on NA servers? I play on JP server that's predominately JP, my blist is empty and I have not gotten a single RMT whisper in the past few weeks.

All of it is automated with scripts. The constant spamming in /shouts and /tells and the gathering. They are most likely not physically there at the computer. They wrote a script to auto run everything for them. I know this cause I once saw one of their scripts in a /shout broken and spamming errors XD (I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's how they do it :3)
