ps3 Keyboard question

I currently use the ps3 and have no problem using it to type and chat with people... I love the controller and have no problem targeting or using any of the features... My question has to do more with shortcut keys. I am starting to tank now and having to use the controller to mark enemies is tedious and time consuming... Most people who tank know people in the group are in a hurry and are not going to wait for you to mark the enemies... To make a long post short just wanted to know if there is a quick shortcut key to mark enemies with the keyboard on the ps3...

I am a Ps3 player too, I only mark mobs when I am in low level dungeons, you dont really have to mark all the mobs, you only need to mark the one you want them to focus on. Once you start getting in high level dungeons, people should know what they should target/ attack by looking at the aggro/ HP bar of the mobs.

Edited: I have number 1-4 and X preset to my hot bar for easy access/ marking.

You can macro the marks to your cross bar. I know the PS3 supports the keyboard for text actions only, though i can swear i've done other things on it by accident. But your best bet is to set the markings to your cross bar. You can also macro it so that when you mark an enemy with 1, you'll automatically attack that enemy with tomahawk/shield toss at the same time.

This could be wrong, as its from memory, but I use this, everyone hits 1, just before it dies I mark next target, very handy

That's a good idea I think I'm going to do that tonight... I'm not sure from what I am seeing some of these people I have been running dungeons with have no clue and keep stealing my hate... Not to mention spam healing...

My friend who is a PLD uses a mouse to target with his dominant hand while the mark hotkey can be hit on the controller with his other hand. He will then let go of the mouse to continue on the controller. Targeting on the controller is very difficult, he's surprised that I make do without a mouse at all.
