PS3 Wont connect to Internet after update/Can't install game on roomates ps3

So, after this recent PS update, my PS won't even find a router. Says it can't find the access point. I tried to install the game on my roomates PS3, but I can't because I need a new code. Is there literally nothing I can do other than buy a new game?

Sounds like a PS3 issue, not a FFXIV issue. Try resetting both your PS3 and wireless router. Re-setup your connection settings. That sort of thing. Is there any report of other people losing wifi-connectiviy on their PS3s after the update? I wouldn't rush out to buy a new game, no. Figure out what's wrong with your PS3.

I have rebooted the router many times. The other PS3 and computers connect just fine. I guess your wireless cards can go bad in your ps3? I have tried about everything.

Is there any information on other people experiencing the same connectivity issues after the PSN update? I don't have a PS3, so I can't really help you there.

I know people are having big time issues with their PS3's after this latest update. Not sure about the wifi issue though. I rebooted my ps3 and it wiped everything off my PS3, inlcuding my installed version of FF14. Now I can't even play because it's making me install the code again, which I obviously already used! This is beyond frustrating

Oh wow... that does sound like a s***show... Can you download it via the PSN store, or does that require a purchase as well? I really don't understand SE's stance on downloading their game. It's an MMO. It requires a login to play. You shouldn't have to enter a code just to download the client/game. Similar to them releasing FFXIV on Steam today, and no one who already has the game has any option to add it to their ACTUAL Steam library without re-purchasing it.

And good luck with SE Support :\

Yeah I know. It's not looking promising. I pay $15 bucks a month to play and have played since the beta. I just need to unlink the game from my last PSN login, which I don't remember and relink the game to my new PSN. Hopefully it is doable.
