    I'd say everyone else is grasping at straws saying that Archer or Marauder is likely to become bard.
    To me it looks like a handful of jobs they plan to implement at some point, but is in no way a 'this is going to be added in the same patch that implements jobs' or that there won't be other classes added by the time jobs are added.

    As you said, Marauder (nor Archer) isn't represented, which only backs up that this is just a random list of ideas.

    I kind of agree with you, but on the other hand..
    I can't imagine something like a new class would be so well kept under wraps. I mean, sure, it is possible that it is a well kept secret, but there has been literally no hint at a new class being even possibly in development. I even believe Yoshida(or perhaps some other dev, dont really remember where I read it at) said that they had no current plans to implement new classes until the current ones got balanced. Although..that was a long time ago.

    Gah..Needs confirmation, so, so bad.

    depends on the job specialization, some jobs wouldnt make sense if you didnt have multiple classes, like rdm. how are you going to specialize into a rdm if you only have cures or if you only have black magic. fencer to rdm, well wouldnt make sense, because then fencer would need a crap load of magical abilities.

    So I'm pretty shell shocked on this news right now. If this is true, the class abilities adjustments they mentioned will probably be steep and full. Its definitely close to how I thought it would pan out, but at the same time different. It seems I really dont know whether thaum or conj will be blm or whm... cause while thaum has a darker questline, conjurer has to do with the elements. conj blm thaum whm? :O /shrug


    Also to go along with the archer = bard thing. I know RO did it, but could you possible use instrument as upclose melee device while using bow? They said it won't be arrows lol. But it could just be a melee bow strike.

    EDIT HERE -> think we'll see an update on lodestone in a few hours? well perhaps this week at least.

    Well, Rogues in Rift can be Bards, along with Rangers and Marksman (and Nightblade/Assassin/Saboteur/Bladedancer/Riftstalker, but I digress). It's not a huge stretch of the imagination for me, but given the incompleteness of it, it's all 100% speculation at this point.

    Long story short, I have no fucking clue what the hell is going on.
