Free Company - Crest Design

I think there should be a web browser based application where players can test Free Companies' Crests, experiment with new ones, and discuss with their friends.

The majority of the Free Companies' players enter the world of Final Fantasy XIV from totally different places thus, it is really difficult to come to an agreement for FC Crest.

In the next patches there might be a way to wear your Free Company's crest, (or at least it was advertised at some point). Wouldn't that be a shame if you don't like your FC's crest, or you didn't participate in the selection at all?

I am just posting this thread, just to see if there are any other players sharing the same thoughts, and/or discover a solution if an application like that already exists!

P.S. If this seems a bit trivial, the developers can just release the Crest icon creation database to users, so they can create something from that

I am already trying to finish a flash product, got stumped in cropping the logos clean...

I would love if someone made an application for this. I spent a while vectorizing my FC's logo when I was making our banner. It's super time consuming. >_<;;

Btw, you can already wear your crest design on your clothes. You have to talk to one of the FC people to 'attach' it, and you can only start using it at a rank 4. Where the logo appears varies depending on the gear.

There are many things that can be added, but my main problem is that I do not have good enough material to work with and/or I do not have the required skills to create them!

Agree! SE should give us a tool to test Crests and show it to our FC friends. Please SE help us with that!!
