That cater only to NA. This is the second comp I can recollect that offers real (as opposed to virtual ingame) prizes.
Either include everyone, or don't bother. It's incredibly rude to the rest of us to be left out of stuff like this.

Before anyone chimes in to defend this by stating its not squareenix that's running the comp, it clearly states they have collaborated to make this possible, so it's entirely feasible they could have done so with other parties to make this available to all regions.

It is not possible, even if you would think so. There are laws that usually prevent international contests.

Unfortunately, it's not SE's fault - every country has their own individual laws governing competitions which they have to abide by - as there is just so many countries in the world it would be just too time consuming and expensive on SE's part to have to ensure that. If every nation had a standardized, global set of laws overseeing competitions, it wouldn't be an issue. But alas... (and I know your pain, I'm in Australia and I'm unable to participate as well, for the reason I just mentioned).

But wouldnt it be possible to change so that instead of winning the actual item you win a "code" wich can be used to redeem said item which is then shipped to your local postal office?

Because its still legal to compete for ingame stuff, aslong as you dont directly win a physical item it should work.

Anyway, as the saying goes, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. I'm grateful that SE puts effort into a few contests like this when they can spare the time, even if they don't always cater to my region.

In EU there are other competitions/lotteries where you can win PC Hardware, so why should SE not be able to do it too?

And no, in the EU there ain't no laws that prevent companies to offer PC Hardware.
SE has a EU HQ so there is no problem either.

It's just that they didn't bother to organize the same event for EU, that's all.

If it was a competition made by aomeone else than SE then I wouldn't mind but since it's SE itself then yeah, not fair.
