I can relate to both points of view, Ive leveled up my Arcanist and got my level 90 gear. Besides crafting classes I dont care to level up another class until they release more classes like Thief or Red Mage ect. I dont mind pvp since you can jump into a match and be done with it fairly quickly. However I could easily put the game on the shelf till next expansion or patch because most of my goals for now are met. However Im anticipating everything that will be coming that we have been told to expect. Im prepping my crafting classes cause I want to be ready to build my airship once we get our underground workshops. Im gathering and crafting to make money cause im expecting to spend some money when breeding and racing my chocobos and buying my own house. I also plan on dropping some gil on the casino they are going to implement later too. However these are long term goals and getting to them may take some grinding which most people dont look forward to. But just like when the FC housing was announced I had some foresight to start making and saving money because no one knew how much it was going to cost and prior to the its implementation not many people were trying to save and the markets were quite a different place. Safe to say i didnt regret my decision to prepare then, and im willing to bet I wont be regretting it later either.
