Smn 448 Acc is not enough for T5!

so this is the data I got from last night we killed twintania @ t5, which I was exactly 448 acc with my smn,this is the attribute of my char , no food, no team



we did 2 tries for the kill, first time dds made mistake in p2 someone forget to change target to conflagration,so wiped, 2nd time we killed her.

from the tab in Act parser , garuda one:



it shows clearly there are 5 missing hit, which were wind blades, I can't tell exactly when the missing happens on the dn or tt herslef or snakes coz Act didn't tell me

so here is the question, isn't that 448 is enough for t5 or not? if it isn't, how many is okay?

of course its not enough, 450 was always the required accuracy. Reason for 448 is because its easier to reach that much without food buff, without sacrificing other dps stats just to get +2 ACC for Garuda (you usually end up closer to 455-460 with other pieces) just to get Garuda that extra dps pip or two. Those 5 misses wouldn't amount to much of a DPS difference for garuda, while losing out on a good stat for your SMN himself, would be more of a dps loss.

but dose it 450 is rly enough for 0 miss? or it's only tested ? I can get 452 acc well but it gives alot spell speed which is totally useless to smn

I find it hard to believe that a less than 1% miss would result to a 5 miss(assuming it's really 450). The God / Goddess of RNG seems to hate you...... alot.

Thx alot for confirming. I think I'd live with it(them) , coz changing gear may reduce my own dps by more than pet miss - -!

just get more acc, new coil will probably have a higher cap anyway.

But serious question: did you win this fight? cause 258 attacks with your spellspeed is already around 12:35min (not even counting the little delay when she uses contagion) and during 1st divebomb phase garuda isn't attacking anything.

the data is combined with 2x tries as I wrote in topic, first try ended in p2 xD

the real kill fight my pet casted 197 and hited 193, was the real fight

Testing from melee accuracy proves that there are different accuracy caps for different parts of the enemy, i.e. rear has the lowest accuracy requirement, flank requires slightly more accuracy and attacking from the front requires the highest amount of accuracy. Was your pet positioned in front of the mobs at any point to get those misses?

This new positional accuracy requirement testing also likely proves why the summoners egi requires more accuracy than the summoner himself, as a summoner you are likely always behind the target? whilst your pet doesn't change position as much to stay behind enemies.

Not just smn but for every class it is important if you intend to do Binding Coil of Bahamut. What's special about smn in this regard is that the amount of accuracy cap to hit magic cast by players 100% of the time on currently available content is assumed to be 435, but the pets need more acc to reach those 100%. So you basicly have to "overgear" on acc to have your pet always hit. now if you consider that your pet does contribute around 20% (or even more) of your damage you obviously want it to hit.
