- The "Abilities learnt through weapons" from FFIX
- Choice of job traits from FFIX
- Sphere board system from FFX or the board from FFXII

The sphere grid is actually quite interesting, it makes everyone equal in the end but before that it allows diversity in builds, haha
Mini Games from Final Fantasy past the could/should make it into FFXIV
Final Fantasy V: Piano
FFXIV Implementation - Simple really, place a piano in Adventure Halls and allow player to sit down and play it. 1-9 would be different notes
Final Fantasy VI: Auction House
FFXIV Implementation - This would basically be a true Auction in the sense that the game would auction off rare items that player bid over.
Final Fantasy VII: Gold Saucer
FFXIV Implementation - Already hinted at by Yoshi-P
Final Fantasy VIII: Triple Triad
FFXIV Implementation - Just develop a card game that two to four player can sit down and play around a table
Final Fantasy IX: Chocobo Hot Cold
FFXIV Implementation - Run around on a Chocobo digging for buried goods with a warmer / colder game
FFX: Blitz Ball
FFXIV Implementation: Perfect for PvP players that want teamwork and objective base content
FFXI: Chocobo Racing
FFXIV Implementation: Instead of being passive, it needs to be active where players control the mount. Maybe add elements of kart racing into it.
FFXII: Hunt Club
FFXIV Implementation: Bounty Guildleve were a party of four or eight will embark to slay a Notorious "Mark".
FFXIII-2: Casino
FFXIV Implementation: People love to gamble in MMO so why not give them what they want lol
FFXIV v1: Parley
FFXIV Implementation: Parley >_>

- A more diverse job system. (Final Fantasy V, Final Fantasy Tactics)
- Monsters as companions. (Final Fantasy Tactics)
Blitzball would be fun, just make it so that in the first game you actually play... the enemy team doesn't have ridiculously stacked stats in such a statistic-reliant game. I'M LOOKING AT YOU LUCA GOERS.
The bird of Hermes is my name eating my wings to make me tame.
You know what I'd love to see from past Final Fantasy titles? A Freelancer Job. A job that has zero unique attacks of its own, can equip any weapon or armor (FFXIV-wise, this means it'll be a Job Crystal equippable by any DoW/DoM class.), it can equip all cross-class abilities offered by all classes (every ability that can be used by another class/job other than itself, not ALL abilities), and the Freelancer Job Crystal actually gets better with every "Mastered" Job (Every job that has completed either their LV50 Job quest or their "A Relic Reborn" quest). The Freelancer Job would be statistically weaker than every other Job even if all Jobs were mastered, but not by so much that it would actually be terribly significant.
I want this because I want to be able to use cross-class abilities that some Jobs simply do not have access to. Kind of a versatility vs. specialization tradeoff.
