Survivability being the key to victory, yet you continue to overestimate the worth of a White Mage. Did we suddenly forget about the pet that can top you off when you're locked down, even without Rouse? What about those 6 Lustrates out of the gate and every minute thereafter - did they cease to exist? I'd even go so far as to say DoT spells and damage-dealing capacity are in the favor of the Scholar. Seeing one with Cleric Stance out of the gate is like the mark of a superior Scholar, one utilizing everything it has available to them and playing to the job's strengths.
