FC chest have been robbed, any hope getting our gils back?

Hi! First of all, I'm not writting this thread to point fingers at people or start some kind of drama.

Our FC was not aware you could promote to a rank higher than your own rank and someone used that loophole to invite and promote a character with a random name (something like "Lasklj Aasdgf") that took all our gils.)

My question is for people who had a similar issue or who know how it ended : Is there any hope to get our gils back? If yes, how?

No need to answer to tell us it's our fault and that we should have tested, etc. We know all of this.

Why would a member do that? Did he get hacked or something?

you can always report the involved players, but I wouldn't hold my breath in hopes of getting your gil back.. for future, your FC leader can put restriction to chest access to 'deposit only' for everyone else, and withdraw for only the players he/she deems trustworthy

The FC history will tell us that someone got promoted but not by who, sadly. Because of that we don't even know who did it. (We also don't know if that was done by a hacker).

The FC chest resctrictions have already been fixed. Only the master can take out gils now.

We really are trying to know if there's a possibility for us to get our stolen gils back if we continue asking support or if we should simply give up.

You probably won't seein' as someone in your guild capable of inviting and messing with the allowances connected to a particular rank went and did that.
I'd say take a good look at the FC system and learn more about it, if nothing is messed with i'm pretty sure only officers and leaders can do things like that.
Whoever did it probably did it on purpose because they were mad, you can't rightly make that mistake unwillingly.

Yah you may not get that gil back. You can definitely report it though, and sooner rather than later. We can't see who promoted on our end but there'll certainly be a log of it on the server side. This sounds like a hacked character. RMT realized they hacked a person with privileges in an FC and took the liberty of inviting, promoting and then using one of their shout bots to clean out your chest. Verify that none of your promote capable people has been hacked.

We've had something similar but that a glitch happened and someone was able to take valuable items even though he had no access. We reported and all, but never got items back. Same for you, you may not get the gil back since he had access.

The GM said since our criminal had access (even though it was a glitch) the GM could do nothing about it....

My theory, an RMT have stolen the account of one of your officers with access to rank settings to commit the robbery.

I don't see any other possible explanation, unless you promote people you don't know well.

I don't think SE will give you the stolen gil, if the gil has been stolen by an RMT it won't be returned, just erased, if they get the RMT ofcourse.
