Chocobo SP Reset

I didn't realize when spending my chocobo's SP points that the decision was going to be permanent. I've opened a ticket with SE asking for a reset, to which I was given a canned response telling me to go to the forums. Has anybody else had the same problem?

Also, does anybody know if the ability to reset your chocobo's SP points will be available in the near future?

They (the developers) have said they were working on it for the possible future, but nothing is set in stone right now.

I wouldn't mind if I get another chocobo to raise once mine reaches 10.

I tend to try and be balanced, and so had used one point in each trait tree before they announced you having to focus on a single tree to get the barding from it. I hope they figure it out soon. I'd hate to think that there is no point in leveling my existing chocobo ever. I also don't want to have to "raise" another one in order to do anything with the chocobo system. >>

This is a pain point for me. Having obtained world first Rank 10 chocobo and not getting any barding because I went hybrid. Broke my heart.

While we do not have any plans of making it so all of the skills can be acquired, in the future we are planning to increase the skill point cap.

Instead of simply increasing the experience points your companions acquire, we will be enhancing their usability and increasing the opportunities in which experience points can be acquired by making it possible to summon your companions while being queued for the Duty Finder.

As the requirement for obtaining the barding is to max out the skill points of your companion's stance, we are currently looking into a way to redistribute your points.

Whilst not exactly a SP Reset option, it's worth noting that you now get the lovely Chocobo Suit for bringing any Chocobo to Rank 10

Anyone know if I can rid myself of my current chocobo and start anew? I had a gross misunderstanding at first and feel like now Id rather just start over.... sad to say
