    Melee dps positioning code suggestion

Playing as a melee, a DRG in this case, i have experienced a lot of situations where i start the move in the flank of the mob, the mob moves to execute a skill in the middle of my skill animation and when it lands its not in the flank but instead in another area.

To me i see this as over punishment since i started the move in the correct place , but because of the mechanics of the mob it dont connect, agravate this with fights that you have to move a lot and you have a system that over punish the melee dps if he/she want to be optimal all the time.

My suggestion goes that the team change the positioning verify code to the client side, and that its based when the skill is executed and not when it landed, although you will only gain the bonus effect after the skill land.

That way you still have the positioning requirement, you still have to play skillfully , but its not as over punishing and not too dependant of mob mechanics.

Hmmm, in my own experience playing DRG i'm 99% sure it is based on when the move is executed and not when the animation is finished.

Also, the only time i've had issues landing Heavy Thrust from the flank and Impulse Drive from behind are when the Main Tank thinks dancing in circles whilst fighting trash somehow reduces the incoming damage they receive. Outside of that hitting the moves from the correct position is mostly a non issue.

It is due to the delay of a mob while turning, The mob will be fully turned before you see the animation, roughtly ¼ to ½ a second, example, you see titan starting to turn for landslide, he is already fully turned and picked his spot to hit, you just don't see it yet. You just have to anticipate these movements. When you activate a WS it will register where you pushed it even if you move, but mobs can already have moved too without showing it yet due to latency.
