I've heard about the Hybrid classes before, but that would be more like what I said earlier (I think in another thread) about a Tank whose focus is Healing to generate hate topped with some normal hate generating moves. It could be a Tank or Healer and possibly Que up for both or either depending on what that group may need.
Support I've heard about and see Bard being repositioned into it if it ever comes to life. Didn't think too deeply on it since its basically Controller from DCU who supplied Energy (in this case MP and possibly TP through regeneration skills) as well as a few additional buffs like the speed buff. Though for dungeon purposes I'd prefer the same basic set up 1:1:2:1. So large groups would end up with 2:2:4:2
I guess it could get messy with that set up but lowering DPS set as some have mentioned (Not here I believe) as that would just make playing a DPS as a main even more cringe worthy with even longer wait times.
I could have misinterpreted the meaning behind Scouting based classes, though my earlier statement of their general use still stands. I don't see a set up similar to a WoW Rogue working on here with the way battles play out, and if it were in similar design, then it would more situation than the complaints we already have for the current Melee DPS. It be nice if they were also DoT specialists or similar to Rift's Counter Blast types where each skill hit puts a counter on the creature to use other combos increasing the damage done or letting loose one big finale which takes all the Counters and causes a large amount of damage which scales up.
Certain Counters and combinations can cause enfeebling effects as well. Other than a Puppetmaster or Beast master, a Scout if based on the counter set up would be the only Melee classes I'd be interested in playing.
With the headache I tend to give myself thinking about the unknown mentioned that have been made, I'd sure as hell would rather the Musketeer next, either this coming Patch or the next. I'd like to see more information about the other hinted options appear sometime after, and really with implementations for new Role types, even double role hybrid classes, these sort of things would most likely need an expansion to release with it due to possible size of changes to be made.
If we can keep Yoshida to his word about releasing a few Classes/Jobs in patches before the first expansion which may or may not come out this winter, that would be lovely.
I feel as if I've just finished a gallon of coffee~ Wheeeeeee~
