personally I moved to Famfrit when it was created because of the lack of Legacy toons. I had hoped that would make for a more stable economy. I'm still there and have no regrets, its busy enough and I have no trouble making money when i really want to. I have no idea what the most populated servers are tho or what your looking for in a server.

The choices are Legacy (lots of all-50 characters, according to Yoshi's letter, at least 10 per Legacy world have 100+ mil of gil) vs non-Legacy. Japan Datacenter vs NA/EU Datacenter.

If you plan on crafting your way to riches, avoid Legacy worlds... and hurry. The differences between the two are narrowing.

Or find a bunch of people you like here, on Reddit or some other forum... then pick THEIR server. That probably matters more than almost anything else.

in case your looking for a RP legacy server, Balmung is the server for you. While I personally am not an RP'er, I can tell you that I run into a lot of people that RP on this server, and there are many RP devoted Free Companies for you (if this is your cup o' tea).

(on a side note, don't let that fool you, there are still many skilled players on this server- in fact, there are many RPer's that have Turn 5 cleared, which is currently the hardest content in the game).
