A level requirement minimum option/checkbox is a brilliant idea. I think you're right, that client-side filter would solve the majority of tells from gil-sellers in the game.

Make it so that only people in FC or friends list can send you a tell. Otherwise they have to use say, yell or shout. We might end up back with the RMT shouters, but at least they tend to get banned faster lately.

Problem is that bots are now lv50, full crafted gear and chochocobo companion... how can they go that far without being removed ?

I play on PS3 while I'm sippin on something I don't feel like writing down sgdcthnbd only to get it wrong.
Maybe they can add a quick "Report" function like they did with the "Blacklist" in the chat log, bringing up the report menu with the name (s) already filled in. They ALL will get reported by me then. Will help in general with griefers to since they know they can get reported so quickly.
The problem with this is if you accidentally blacklist someone, you can reverse that easily. It's not as easy to reverse an accidental report on a player. Thus, dozens or hundreds of thousands of extra reports that they waste their time on to just find out they were "an accident." Reporting a player should stay right where it is...because it really can't be an accident if you report someone the way it is now. You have to actually be looking for the service.Maybe they can add a quick "Report" function like they did with the "Blacklist" in the chat log, bringing up the report menu with the name (s) already filled in. I just turn off my tells function for general chat so don't see them lol
