I havent checked Excalibur's wards in weeks so idk how our server looks D:

Personally I'm saving for personal housing, and even though I doubt I'll be able to afford it after how they view the community and their buying power, at least I can say I tried.

The problem is, I see this as a very real possibility. I have increased my gil 10 fold barely even trying since 2.1 and were I to keep going till 2.3 (lets say thats when they get added since they said possibly 6 months after FC housing and 3 month patch cycles) I still doubt I'd have enough because of SE logic

It has actually disheartened me recently. When maps got released, I leveled fisher from 1-50 in 2 days to fish up maps for gil. I now fish my map every day without fail. I do dailies every day, and now that I have both ranks capped I do T3 quests for both tribes to maximize my gil from them. I do all 4 DRs every day, only as the required job (and lowbie as a 50 required job for the gil bonus), selling all philos items when my tomes build up, etc Within the last 2 weeks I've actually stopped a lot of that, the only thing I'd 100% do was my map. I went from around 200k @pre2.1 -> 2.2m about 2 weeks ago and I just figure that it is a very real and (in my opinion) highly likely possibility that even if I continue at this pace, I can't get anything.

This is how i have felt in the past weeks, I've actually taken a break from farming and just plain trying to make gil, i do farm my map and do maps with my fc mates every few days...that hasn't changed, but doing daily roulette and farming mats has completely stopped for me, doing them for the past months since housing was announced just wore me out mentally, maybe after a short break will restore my energies to get back into the grind, but for now i will just be logging in to enjoy chatting with FC peeps and hanging out in gridania looking at the trees.

I'm convinced only 5% (or some outrageous number) of the population will be able to afford a personal house. SE goes on about prices being high because they don't want the same people to buy up all the lots, but I think the very simple fix to that is to limit one per account.

Yeah I can't believe that wasn't in the patch notes. "We don't want an FC buying all the houses"

Why the hell would an FC have even more than 1 house anyways >_>

House deeds or however they're handled should be rare/ex and can only have one. Or just have it register "this person has a house, gtfo trying to buy another! (ノಠ益ಠ)ノ彡┻━┻"

The fact that there is even the option to buy more than 1 FC house is absolutely insane on SE's part.

I think you can only buy one house at the moment, but I've read about some server that had one FC that was getting alt's their own FCs at rank 6 and buying them a house so that they can sell it later on.

That may have been the big reason on SEs part for limiting the buying of houses with the higher prices and limit one house to an FC. To keep some FC from buying a bunch of small houses and then trying to resell them for inflated prices. So SE beat them to the punch and started out with inflated prices.

I fear at this rate SE will make some horrible mistake in the implementation of Personal Housing.
