So from what I've seen in 1.20 I don't mind paying but the payment methods are terrible. What was so wrong with the ffxi method, it was pretty pain free compared to this. =/

The Ul'duh Inn is like an antique shop...full of crap and always closed."You don't have to say anything, I just look at your life now and work backwards." - Black Books
If the payment methods do not change I refuse to play.
yeah i want to pay for the game also, but how to pay for it is a different story.

always looking for good people.
So wait, if it only costs 29.94 for 180 days...
why do I need 4794 crysta. That's 47.94 worth of crysta right?
I had the same reaction, but you're forgetting that that $29.94 does not include the $3.00/character fee which is at least another $18.00 on top of the base service fee, if you use only one character.
Lol I just realized that. Then I realized I'm paying for half a year xD.
Why don't they just add the initial character and the $3 applies to each character after? Lol less confusing.
Yes, within reason. They should not display your full account number as this would be a security flaw.
No opinion on this, their setup seems to relate billing to individual services and therefore actually does make sense, the different pages aren't too confusing, but there is some unnecessary confusion that could be addressed.
Never going to happen. First off, unless the company in question is also a financial institution you will never directly pay for a subscription with them. Even other large companies like Blizzard have a merchant account which handles all of their billing transactions on the back end. What SE should do, and what would amount to the same thing that you're asking for, is to make the payment process seamless so that you are not forced to navigate away from Square Enix's Account Management site in order to enter payment information in. I'm honestly surprised if ClickAndBuy does not have a better integration strategy than what is currently being used. If they do not, then SE should find an international partner that does support a more seamless integration, there are plenty of companies out there that do.
It may seem unneeded, but I believe they use Crysta for other services as well (or intend to at least). Its a company specific currency where, if you don't use all of it, then SE makes money off the deal. If you don't like Crysta, don't use it. Edit: Although, that being said their really aren't any good options, ClickAndBuy charges SE--which in turn charges us--petty fees, which is just anti-consumer, and for some people the idea of Crysta is just as bad. I don't know much about UltimatePay.
Especially with the changes that went in and the need to set up billing again a more obvious link to renewing/canceling subscriptions should have been placed on the main page, I agree.
The account management system is more convoluted then it needs to be. The hierarchy makes sense in some places, but, other places it just seems strange.

Some people, mostly fanbois, the uninitiated and the truly naive, seem to be under the impression SE won't or hasn't slapped their customers in the face with tyrannical policy change..
XI players were firmly under the impression they wouldn't be forced to C&B/Crysta when SE announced it was trolling the entire non-Nippon world, and look what they're doing now..?
We were given a "We are pretending to look into alternate payment methods" handjob, and nothing ever came of it.
So I'm hoping that MAYBE the SE higher ups just have some personal vendetta against XI players, and that Yoshi-P's eloquently laid out ambitions to "rebuild trust" hold true for XIV players.
If you don't think new summoner is better, you're playing the wrong game.
