Square Enix is now removing ALL references of Click and Buy from signatures, even non-inflammatory ones. We realize it's your forums and you can do whatever you want with them, but that denial of peaceful protest is pretty low of you.

*edited this part out* If you would like to truly regain the trust of the playerbase, to quote Yoshida, a strong first step would be to stop moderating the hell out of references to your payment bedfellows and LISTEN to the playerbase. You're being given the opportunity to listen, but you keep telling people to shut up. That's not how trust works; and trust (real) trust means trust from everyone and not just your Japanese playerbase.

It's not a whinefest either. Chocobo naming conventions is a whinefest. SP nerfs are whinefests. This is a legit concern that affects a lot of players. And it's not "until FFXIV goes P2P". It's now. FFXI is being subjected to this BS as we speak and the time to speak up about it is now. Just because it doesn't affect you personally doesn't mean it doesn't affect everyone else.

"We're looking into it" isn't enough. What are they looking into? What options are they considering? When will this take effect? They're "looking into" many things right now but this is a more pressing concern.

Seirra_Lanzce's sig was a very peaceful non-inflammatory request for an alternative to CnB and that portion was removed. Check it out 1 page back. Unfortunately I haven't been keeping tabs on the names of everyone else for easy reference but skimming the forums I see a lot of familiar sigs being altered. So I'm not just on paranoid mode (this time..?).

Have you researched ClickandBuy? We've got people in this thread who've been victimized by CnB. I know someone who lost 1,700 british pounds because of CnB, just by registering her credit card to her account on CnB.

There have been examples of double-billing, resuming subscriptions without authorization, reactivating accounts without authorization, and multiple unauthorized charges. There are fraud reports that you can google for to back this up. Here is a list of the ones I found...

I should mention that ClickandBuy was intended to be the EU-based competitor to PayPal.

As it is right now, it is an unacceptable option for many of us in the United States. We take our financial security seriously, and many of us refuse to deal with ClickandBuy. (We also do not want to deal with Crysta, which is a virtual currency - many of us who are asking for a reliable, secure option like PayPal, are being screwed over.)

P.S. I cancelled my bank card that was on file with ClickandBuy. Getting a new one next week. GG, Square Enix.

I'd be one of those XI players if I still had access to my account. Which I don't because of CnB shennanegans. So I post in the other SE game that I play that will also eventually be affected by the same. What is wrong exactly with taking a stand and asking for your rights to be respected? And yeah I've trolled a lot. Not trolling now. I've got my A game on.

Well no, I was doing some trolling and slandering before, he's right. Which isn't the best way to get your voice heard. Now that I've cooled off a bit, I'm back to fighting clean. If we're going to protest this we can't step on any toes while we do it. If the toes are too big though, we'll tread first and apologize later.
