I know this isn't great to say but I would pay to see someone do that. Maybe it would knock some sense into them... either that or land someone in jail but.... They do need to say something to US (ie XIV players)
I have a secret to tell. From my electrical well. It's a simple message and I'm leaving out the whistles and bells. So the room must listen to me Filibuster vigilantly. My name is blue canary one note* spelled l-i-t-e. My story's infinite Like the Longines Symphonette it doesn't rest- TMBG Birdhouse in your Soul
A huge THANK YOU!!!! For FINALLY selling the Meteor Survivor Polo on the store. AND a huge thanks to my friend who bought it for me while he was at Fan Fest!!! YES I finally have my POLO!!!
Yep...and we both know that Square STILL wouldn't listen even if that happened, because it would all get swept under the rug. No wonder I'm starting to dislike the Japanese. Their "tradition-bound" ways are starting to become very idiotic in the context of an international business.
I bet this problem would gain so much more traction if the Japanese players in the FFXIV/FFXI community also threw their lot in with us to get Square to change payment processors. I'm sure THEY would not want to see the game die out...

Don't worry, a lot of the world dislikes the western nations as well.
No offense, but I really hope you're not American and saying our culture is idiotic. You're frustrated yeah, but how is a nation's culture "idiotic" compared to any other nation? Know what I seen the first day Japanese beta of Tera goes live? NA players cussing out and provoking Japanese players."tradition-bound" ways are starting to become very idiotic"
You answered yourself -- Why would they tell us about a payment system when we aren't paying? It's like expecting an answer to why your medium rare steak is well done before you even got it.
Besides, it's universally accepted the entire payment move is a bad idea -- on the FFXI side, people agree while POL had issues, it was straight forward however moving toward the whole SE account thing, I'm pretty sure direct CC payments they have to go through a lot more hoops for the NA/EU player bases than they do for the Japanese bases.
Many people like to cite international laws and "Europes Digital Act etc etc" whenever NA or Japan does something that affect Europeans in a bad way gaming wise, why is that being forgotten now?
