    Have just begun the process of cancelling my click and buy after hearing these horror stories from people I know and seeing all the threads about it. I definitely don't want to deal with a company that is this Shady. In my opinion, this is an issue that will have bearing on whether or not many people will decide to pay for the game when SE decided to start charging. A simple and easy to use, fraud-free system will need to be in place in time for the PS3 launch and the first billing cycles begin...

    After reading all of this, I am pretty much ready to terminate my Click and Buy account once billing resumes. It is ludicrous that Square Enix would go to a shady, untrustworthy company for their payment processing options. Did someone funnel their contracts to C&B? If so, that idiot needs to be fired.

    P.S. ClickandBuy is "powered" by Deutsche Telekom, the German telecommunications company that owns T-Mobile USA.

    I don't want this discussion topic to die, because this is a very serious issue. There are business issues of trustworthiness and security that revolve around ClickandBuy, and I am utterly upset by the fact that Square would offer a direct-to-SE payment option to japanese players, but not to western players.

    It just reeks of corporate cronyism. Whoever recommended that ClickandBuy be used as an intermediary for Square Enix needs to be FIRED. Like I said before.

    Edit: I've just started the process of closing my ClickAndBuy account.

    Good luck! Carefully review your statements for the next 6 months.. they love to reactivate accounts and start charging people again!

    Yes, it's been mentioned before.. anything you provide them stays provided.. forever. It would probably be easier and safer asking your bank for a new card number and updating your payment info with everyone else you use automatic withdrawals from.

    No kidding! Why haven't we gotten a response from Square Enix on this issue yet!? This is SERIOUS!! Square is going to lose a lot of business over this once subscriptions kick in again, and they are still not addressing it. This is VERY bad for business.

    Actually you can contact C&B directly, however you need to do it during Britian's business hours, and be prepared to speak to someone on the phone...also, it may take you a while to get in touch with someone directly...it literally took me two weeks. It was insane. When I did get in touch with someone they were rude to me when I was being nice.

    Also, anyone looking to cancel their C&B accounts are better off canceling their current card and getting a new one issued by your bank. Because like many have said, they keep your information on file, some have mentioned they re-activate accounts and start charging, and if you do go through with canceling them on your current card you will be jumping through hoops of fire blindfolded while people are tossing eggs at you...just sayin'

    The problem with that is that I'm Deaf, and the relay services here in the U.S. do not do international calls! That makes it impossible!
