Good luck! Carefully review your statements for the next 6 months.. they love to reactivate accounts and start charging people again!I don't want this discussion topic to die, because this is a very serious issue. There are business issues of trustworthiness and security that revolve around ClickandBuy, and I am utterly upset by the fact that Square would offer a direct-to-SE payment option to japanese players, but not to western players.
It just reeks of corporate cronyism. Whoever recommended that ClickandBuy be used as an intermediary for Square Enix needs to be FIRED. Like I said before.
Edit: I've just started the process of closing my ClickAndBuy account.
If you don't think new summoner is better, you're playing the wrong game.
The minute they do that, is the minute I buy an airline ticket to Britain, and chuck some molotov cocktails into their offices. I do not appreciate underhanded business practices.
What I am absolutely upset at the most is the lack of response from Square Enix on this matter. It's as if they've been bought out by the Yakuza.
Edit: OH WOW, FOR FUCK'S SAKE, SQUARE ENIX. WHY DID YOU THROW IN WITH THESE DOUCHES? They won't let me DIRECTLY contact their customer service, and they won't let me DELETE my credit card information from the account. Seriously, Square Enix, DROP CLICK AND BUY. THEY ARE NOT WORTH THE PR DISASTER THAT'S GOING TO DESTROY YOUR CREDIBILITY FOR ALL TIME.

Yes, it's been mentioned before.. anything you provide them stays provided.. forever. It would probably be easier and safer asking your bank for a new card number and updating your payment info with everyone else you use automatic withdrawals from. The minute they do that, is the minute I buy an airline ticket to Britain, and chuck some molotov cocktails into their offices. I do not appreciate underhanded business practices.

No kidding! Why haven't we gotten a response from Square Enix on this issue yet!? This is SERIOUS!! Square is going to lose a lot of business over this once subscriptions kick in again, and they are still not addressing it. This is VERY bad for business.

Actually you can contact C&B directly, however you need to do it during Britian's business hours, and be prepared to speak to someone on the phone...also, it may take you a while to get in touch with someone directly...it literally took me two weeks. It was insane. When I did get in touch with someone they were rude to me when I was being nice. The minute they do that, is the minute I buy an airline ticket to Britain, and chuck some molotov cocktails into their offices. Also, anyone looking to cancel their C&B accounts are better off canceling their current card and getting a new one issued by your bank. Because like many have said, they keep your information on file, some have mentioned they re-activate accounts and start charging, and if you do go through with canceling them on your current card you will be jumping through hoops of fire blindfolded while people are tossing eggs at you...just sayin'

The problem with that is that I'm Deaf, and the relay services here in the U.S. do not do international calls! That makes it impossible!

Still, just as good of a reason to make sure this thread doesn't drop off the front page. I think Square-Enix is either A) kicking the can down the road, or B) Trying to pretend that ClickandBuy is not trouble.
If those who have a personal interest in this issue would help keep this thread on the front page, that would be appreciated. I don't think Square will like seeing their huge glut of PS3 users coming, discovering that ClickandBuy is ready to screw them over, and then leaving in droves.

Sadly they r even putting FFX11 on this aswell. i was thinking getting back on 11 but not now. maybe we should do the same to 14 as ppl are for 11

Yeah I don't plan on letting it die down. It's just too big of an issue for me. I don't like dealing with crooken companies. I understand that Crysta is available and that is most likely the option I will go, however I do feel for people who can't use C&B or crysta or the ultimate card thingies.Still, just as good of a reason to make sure this thread doesn't drop off the front page. I wish I could see what sort of vice C&B has SE's nuts in that would make them move XI to that company as well.
