I complain about having to give my credentials to two foreign companies to play a game. One is way enough. Even if the company had a decent reputation, I would be set off.

People who have no idea what they are talking about should not speak. With even two seconds of research you would know why people are upset.I love how most of the people complain about Click&buy, have not even had any experience with them outside FFXIV, and that would be 0, because we have not even been charged monthly yet. People really need to take the tin hats off. People have good and bad experiences with any company, but the bad ones sometimes get blown into great big stories that don't even seem to make sense after a while.

While I don't have an XI account, I've been lurking there and watching their dev tracker for updates.

One might say this is good news, as it is an indication that the XI fallout has possibly turned the heads of SE accountants, who are the ones that matter in this environment. I'll be continuing to watch (as I'm sure a few others will be too).Originally Posted by Hvinire

We'll continue to update all the users best we can as we discuss the subject internally. We really do appreciate your patience and know that you are waiting eagerly for further replies.
I'll leave it at that for now and get back to you next when there is more information.
I do know what I am talking about, I have looked it up, and it is like I said, a few people had some bad experiences and it was blown way out of proportion. Nothing is shady if you read what you are suppose to, where it tells you what they would do.

So apparently FFXI users are being forcibly switched over to C&B by the end of August? Haven't played in a month or so and I've been thinking of coming back.. All I can say is: don't do it SE. You can try to get your way on a lot of things, but C&B won't fly.. you can't dictate how people pay for a service. This isn't the 90s. People let their wallets do the talking and if you think CC processing fees will offset the lost business from this underhanded move, please mail me first class the stuff that you guys are smoking. Half the freaking world can't even use Crysta and about 5-10% of all major banks are going to refuse charges from C&B to go through - for the protection of their customers.

I'd rather deal with POL.

seem a lot of ffxi players had to pay x2 i pretty happy this happen maybe now ffxiv would have better payments before it goes p2p.

If this is how SE is gonna be about their payments, I'm so glad TERA is supposed to be coming out next month! Sure I'll ditch years worth of work over a silly thing like principles. Moves like this are shady. I would expect this kind of move from a company like Rainbow Vacuums or something.. not from a company like Square Enix.
Oh hey everyone, btw TERA is supposedly coming out next month! Ditch the Xenophobic JP ONRY racist bastards and go with a company that lets you direct pay outside of Japan.
yea SE method of payment really sucks
