I think it's time for SE to realize that people DO NOT want C&B.

I do want that. There is no point in sending my CC-Info anywhere through the internet. So i will stay with Click and Buy and reload my Crystas with Paysafe-Cards. Easiest way, safest way... if you guys want to hand out your CC-Info.. just spread them out here, so everyone can share.

Have to go through UltimatePay or ClickandBuy.

I don't understand why they can't piggyback on the PlayOnline billing system. This is perhaps the biggest step backwards for SE where FFXIV is concerned.

FFXIV IS free indefinitely. Can't tell if definition of indefinitely eludes you. Hint: it doesn't mean "forever".

They should really remove the C&B subscription option and the ability to buy crystal until the game is out of F2P.

yes.. i having a hard time because now i am using a friend's of mine Credit Card to activate my game... hope in future they will accept my card.. T^T.

Unfortunately for us, Squeenix have it on record that while they understand the payment setup is somewhat long and complicated, players only have to do it once, so they do not believe it will be a hindrance in the long run. you know, given that people have just gone out of their way to buy the game they're not about to not play it, yeah?

That's when they get you! New players will blindly trust it, because they won't necessarily know any better and hey, they want to play the game. Square Enix trust in this behavior for people to get over the payment setup hurdle.

What I think they don't fully understand is that it doesn't take many billing frustrations for people to decide to stop playing. Squeenix will not see the impact of subscription continuation until a few months after we go pay2play. So worrying about this is so obviously not a real priority right now. Surely it'll work out all right...

Meanwhile, here I am in Australia where we have been labeled a European region (thanks to the whole PAL vs NTSC thing) and thus I will be forced to pay in Euro. Corollary: We will be paying more than almost any other region, as the Euro conversion (75 Euro cents to the $1AU*) is no where near the US conversion ($1.05US to $1AU <- smexy), plus international transaction & foreign currency fees from my bank (outside EU agreements financially), plus unknown Click&Buy fees for Credit cards, plus possible Click&Buy unsupported currency conversion fees.
I think that's it, but I wouldn't be surprised if there is something else in there... It'll add up to making me pay at least 1.5 times what the US players will pay, probably more. >_>

i'm using the ultimate cards, pretty easy to set up, i set up click and buy but i don't use it. but i'm anoyed i bought 140bucks worth of cards and this game turn to shit. these cards are non refundable by gamestop so be carefull not to buy more then u will use. or u'll get stuck with them.
