umm if you do not wanna use the click and buy option just use the credit card option. I can use the ultimate pay option and found it easy to use.

I think you guys are causing your own grief and blaming SE because you are used to using them as the blame target. SE gives you several options pick one and be done. Is not because i do not want to use C&B, is because C&B REJECT any CC from MY COUNTRY of CHOICE, and we CANT CHANGE COUNTRY no matter what! What most problematic is that my country is not LISTED in the list of choice. And the one nearest to mine is BRUNEI and they only offer CC or C&B and both they REJECTED my Credit CARD. Not to mention this country of choice does not support ULTIMATEPAY, please read back our words, it does not have ULTIMATE PAY and DOES NOT HAVE CRYSTA, so please read again before you post something that you have not known.

So Misssssss Kilta, please do not claim SE gives several options when none of the options is working, i have to resort of using my cousin's CC from europe just to get by, but that is a stupid way, why must i the one whos paying resort to such stuff and make us players go through such turn around eh?

I honestly don't think you're reading what people are saying... they are angry because of:

1) SE has said this is a WORLDWIDE GAME yet they have set up restrictions within some area so some players CANNOT pay at all.

2) Some players DO NOT have as many options within their country as other countries have, and are usually forced to pick ONE instead of having said choices because it is their ONLY option.

3) Click and Buy has a VERY VERY VERY bad reputation and many people do NOT feel comfortable using that system, and for some that is the ONLY choice they have.

4) People don't like that they can't just pay the 12.99 a month, but instead have to buy EXTRA Crysta (some which they may never use because it doesn't balance out), so they are wasting money and feel like SE is ripping them off by taking extra money that players may not ever use. If they quit they don't get a refund, but SE still has their extra money from said players buying the Crysta.

So how are any of us causing our own grief? Seems to me SE needs to rethink their options and stop putting their players into bad positions or forcing their players into only one choice, which most don't feel comfortable with.

If that's still the case, it's a no-go for me. Our of question to pay for one month-and-a-quarter or to have to pay for 3 month to fall back on my feet.

The smallest amount it comes in is 500 ($5.00). Yes, with Crysta there will always be unused money on your account.

Every other online company in the world accepts credit cards without fees. I demand SE accept my (non 3-D secure) Visa/Mastercard. Even if I could make payments via PayPal, an accepted international processing company, that would be more convenient and safer than C&B, and not have me waste money via Crysta.

Get with the program SE. No matter how much of a 180 you pull on this trainwreck of a game, if the payment system sucks, nobody will pay. It's like, everyone WANTS to pay for the game (for whatever reasons?), but you won't LET them unless it's on your terms. Not very well played.

i have to agree that they payment system has me worried , click and buy i wont be going for that after using my old card details then realising how they work , wont be giving new card detail.
Can only hope ultimate pay works in uk so i can use paypal.
I still really confused by it though.

In order to play this game when the PS3 version is out and the game is going to be Pay2Play, I will likely have to do the following to avoid using ClickandBuy (otherwise only payment option in Australia and most of Oceania):
- Import a copy of the game from the US (thankfully legal in Australia);
- Forego my existing account and character progression;
- Breach the game's T&C by making up a fake name and address in the US to start from scratch; and
- Purchase Crysta in a manner that doesn't try to link my Credit Card address to my fake US address.

Sound dodgy? Yeah, I thought so. Would be good if I wasn't given an incentive to do this...

Now I wonder what would happen if I terminated my ClickandBuy account without doing anything on the Square Enix account? Would SE immediately pick up on it, or would it not happen till the end of the free-to-play period? Anyone tried this?

I concur wholeheartedly. They need to fix these shit options and not charge late fees (not my fault they don't decide to cut me off asap when a payment fails).

This should be a standard behavior actually. Giving your real name and address to a foreign company who doesn't even need it (since it doesn't handle payment by itself) is quite dangerous, in my opinion.
