Everyone should just be able to use Crysta with credit card and debit card and it should be purchaseable in 1-month subscription-fee bundles so you aren't left with a surplus after your monthly fee.

Why is everyone up in arms about C&B? What is the real issue here? Do they not accept your dodgy Credit/Debit cards? Spit it out, because i can't for the life of me see a problem with them.

C&B is the same as any other online payment processing provider (paypal included). No difference whatsoever.

I signed up in less than 5 minutes, i never had to go to my bank or anything else people claim they had to do. It's just not true at all, people need to learn to read when they sign up for a service.

So again: What is the REAL issue here with C&B?

Try to cancel C&B and then you'll see the issue. I hit the button to stop billing by C&B yesterday and close my C&B acct. C&B will not cancel or stop any payments until 7-10 business days after I hit that button even tho I told them to stop yesterday. During the time my acct is frozen I cannot close my C&B acct until the middle of the month, even tho I told them yesterday I was no longer giving them any authorization to represent me in any fashion. No wonder SE stuck with them for so long its a pain in the ass to cancel anything they do.

Thats better than paypal! With PayPal you must have no outstanding transactions or subscriptions and all previous transactions must have been completed at least 30 days prior to canceling. If your account is negative, they will not cancel it either.


In any case, the monthly fee was taken on the 3rd, so your cancellation would have been to late anyways. Next time you should maybe cancel ahead of time and not right at the last minute. The only fault i see here is yours.

They have never deducted 1 cent from my account, so why should i have to wait to have anything removed from there system. I should be able to close my account without fear of loss or revocation. As a consumer I do not have that, as a consumer I now see I must get a new CC because C&B will never remove said information from there system.

So please all knowing and wise man explain to me how anything here is my fault. There was nothing deducted on Sept 3rd, this has nothing to do with last minute transactions or not wanting to pay. This was me being diligent and wanting to cancel before they took any funds for FFXIV as after reading up on C&B I did not trust the system, nor do I any longer believe this game will be worth paying for anytime in the near present, and now you see why.

You can not remove your only CC from their system because a CC is required for an account. Is that so hard to understand? Apparently it is and so is the user agreement you had to read before you sign up. Next time take 5 minutes to read it before you subscribe to a service using your CC and private information, thats just common sense.

I wonder what you have been "reading up" on them that makes you so angry. It's a perfectly fine and normal payment provider just like paypal. Again, reading up is something you do before you go around giving websites your private information and CC.

You want your account closed, they do it within an acceptable timeframe of 7 - 10 days. There is no loss or revocation if you cancel your account. Like i mentioned before, with paypal you would have to wait 30 days.

I still don't see your problem, you got your account canceled, thats what you wanted. Now be happy and move on to greener pastures.

If you read the whole thread from page one, which you obviously haven't since you're asking this, you would have found post upon post of people who have stated:

issues with C&B
fraudulent billing from C&B
EU banks telling their customers not to use C&B due to fraud issues with them
they have a F rating with the BBB
in some countries C&B is the only option and in that country it can't be used
etc etc and etc.

If you don't want to read and understand the issues then why even post? Obviously there IS an issue since SE is bringing out new payment options at this time. Also there is a equally long, if not longer, thread about this exact subject on the FFXI side with their issues as well.

Whats the Real issue... go read the 554 post before yours and it will help you understand. IF you had read the whole thread I don't think you'd be asking what the real issue is since it's pretty well stated numerous times. This thread will still be here when you're done if you still want to discuss it at that time.

Care to be more specific, i have none at all. Works as advertised. No additional cost, no problems at all for 12 months now.

If you do your research, all these so called fraudulent charges are scams from third parties. If you are so stupid to fall for a scam, you deserve whats comming. C&B has 2.1 million reported scams, paypal has 71 million. Now before you go ballistic, you can't really compare these numbers, but it shows that EVERY payment provider is target of these scams.

BBB, LMAO! Do you even know how BBB works? Click and Buy is not a BBB Accreditation business. They have no rating at all, but the BBB making money of businesses "joining" them chooses to list F instead of no rating. This is fraudulent by itself and misrepresentation of facts.

The rating for C&B is explained as follows:
7 complaints closed with BBB in last 3 years | 1 closed in last 12 months.

Oh Mah Gawd! 7 complaints in 3 years.

Compare this to paypal:
6540 complaints closed with BBB in last 3 years | 1873 closed in last 12 months.

Right. and Paypal gets an A+.

If my Bank tells me what to do with my money i change to a different one. Seriously, this is a non issue and you should take that up with your bank. It has nothing to do with C&B.

I can use my CC worldwide, i never get refused anywhere. I have no idea what kinda Banks you people have but they must really be the worst Banks ever.

I don't know what that means, you saying SE offers only C&B in that country and C&B does not allow people from that country to subscribe? I doubt that, honestly.

Of course reading the entire thread can be a drain when it's 560 posts long.

And you're right about Paypal being just as bad. Which is a reason why I refuse to have a paypal account.

But at least Paypal let me pay for service through them with my credit card without requiring me to set up an account with them.
