This thread is a little critical for it to be bumped. This was a "we want payment options or we won't play" kind of thread, and we did end up getting most of the things we asked for.Bumping this for the important infos so anyone is updated on the payment state.
Can't wait to see the new payment system! Man, I still remember those days...
A better thread to bump for discussion on the new payment options would be: New payment options
If you don't think new summoner is better, you're playing the wrong game.
I am really concern in this issue too.
I have only CnB option for payment. Currently, cannot even login CnB account after nearly one year of never login. Closed due to inactive for nearly a year? I dunno. With its bad reputation, I am not sure if I would like to re-open/register for it.
I am not a wealthy player in real life. I feel unsettle if CnB charges extra yet I cannot do anything about it (CnB slow at replying, mistakes in charging, etc). I would definitely bid farewell to FFXIV if any such cases do happen to me.
With this feeling of uneasiness, I start to lose interest in playing FFXIV due to:
(a) No announcements of change in payment option
(b) There is a possibility that I will encounter CnB issue. If unlucky, I will encounter it in the future and stop playing, so why waste time playing now?

Take the time to read the post right above yours ^^;I am really concern in this issue too.

Just setup paypal already... clickandbuy is a stupid company..
Paypal is so safe to use and does not give any trouble when known how to use it.
Give us paypal :-)

Technically you can use Paypal through UltimatePay, but only to purchase Crysta. (Which still only allows set amounts to be bought which means you'll always be leaving unspent money on your SE account).
They have already said they'll be implementing new ways to pay for the game including new recurring billing options as well as new ways to buy Crysta and the option to set exactly the amount of crysta you want to buy. Sadly they've offered no details on what the recurring options will be and have given only vague (early fall, mid-fall, late fall) estimates on when they new billing options will be implemented.
They've also said the best thing I think they can do for the billing system (a new recurring billing system) will be the very last thing they implement.

No c&b for me, ty. See ya later if no other options available when the time comes. NOt to mention I'm telling everyone I come in contact with about the problems they can expect from c&b. No better advertisement is available over word of mouth. Spread the word.

Well even if i dont like it i won't be childish though..
Im gonna tell all my friend s and stuff.. Nah not my kind of way.
But i do agree that C&b is junk.
