    Have you researched ClickandBuy? We've got people in this thread who've been victimized by CnB. I know someone who lost 1,700 british pounds because of CnB, just by registering her credit card to her account on CnB.

    There have been examples of double-billing, resuming subscriptions without authorization, reactivating accounts without authorization, and multiple unauthorized charges. There are fraud reports that you can google for to back this up. Here is a list of the ones I found...

    I should mention that ClickandBuy was intended to be the EU-based competitor to PayPal.

    As it is right now, it is an unacceptable option for many of us in the United States. We take our financial security seriously, and many of us refuse to deal with ClickandBuy. (We also do not want to deal with Crysta, which is a virtual currency - many of us who are asking for a reliable, secure option like PayPal, are being screwed over.)

    P.S. I cancelled my bank card that was on file with ClickandBuy. Getting a new one next week. GG, Square Enix.

    Do you know you can't even play this game from some country because only C&B is available and they say your region isn't available for the service and are to forced to buy another CD then fake your country and address?


    THIS KIND OF SHIT SHOULDNT HAVE HAPPEN IN THE FKN FIRST PLACE.

    Let's test to see if the sig-removal issue is correct rather than making assumptions... my sig has been updated and I've been rather careful in my wording. Let's face it - the reality is I'm scared of ClickandBuy. Would you trust financial information to someone you're scared of?

    ((Also as a heads-up to anyone who gets asked for their date of birth and lives in the US. If they tell you it's wrong, try swapping around the day and month so you have dd/mm/yyyy - they're a UK business where they do things the English and/or European way.))

    It has usually taken them 2-3 days to get to CnB related troll sigs. The pace seems to be quickening and has apparently spread to all mention of it, so it will be interesting to see indeed. I have modified mine to be less offensive while keeping true to what I want to express.

    Also, if you haven't noticed already, you know how a German Shepherd fights? His jaws lock when he sinks his teeth into some flesh and won't let go until he's satisfied with the outcome.

    We are like that. We are refusing to let go of this issue. We will stay with it until it's resolved, or when we are forced to leave the game we have grown to love.

    People are way to demanding on things that can not be handled carelessly.

    SE says "we are looking into it" and sometimes that is all they can tell you, what if this goes legal? Then they really cant tell you squat. I know that if I was head of PR, I would not say crap unless I knew 100% what I was about to say was going to be true/accurate.

    I mean really so many expect these forum admins to know things about internal SE workings, and/ expect them to contact people that do (which they cant)

    At this point when you are losing subscribers in FFXI and are likely facing the potential for an exodus in FFXIV, I don't think you can really handle this issue with kid gloves. Especially on the business side of things. If I were working in Square Enix, I would tell them to drop ClickandBuy like a wet, soiled pair of diapers and find an acceptable alternative within two months, and I would mandate that Paypal be used as a direct payment option.

    It's not that hard to set up a Square Enix direct payment account on PayPal.

    Well, that depends. At one point SE had an F rating with the BBB and it may be that PayPal won't do business with them. There are still alternatives though. Look how many options Steam users have.

    It was an F/E for a good while because right when FFXI came out in the US, alot of people made complaints to the BBB for the stupidest of reasons about the game.
