Final Fantasy XIV version 1.0 Reboot

As I'm sure many people are aware FF XIV ARR is more or less reboot of FF XIV 1.0. Something that would be cool to see happen, in my opinion, is a optional quest sequence where the player is somehow exposed to or goes through the 1.0 content with the ARR engine (we have magic I'm sure we can figure something out some way to do this reasonably). I joined the game a few months after the launch of ARR, and noted that it was a reboot. taking to the internet for what happened to 1.0 I found that the execution had been somewhat fumbled but that the story line was absolutely fantastic. I myself would like to experience it with the new engine what do other people think?

I'm sure Time Travel content will come someday...most MMO's do the time travel to the past gig at some point.

Usually at the point they want to recycle old assets or simply have no idea where else to go. >.>

Oh cool idea but the problem of being playable as your character remains an issue, what could work is if the player was sent back in time and is actually part of the Heroes of Light, since no one remembers their face it could completely work (albeit well likely piss off the legacy players with that move haha)

Meh who cares about those legacy guys!.....j/k, I actually like this idea...and besides it's not like SE can't upset them any more than when they decided to offer the Goobbue mount in the new dailies which makes their legacy unique Goobbue mount not so unique anymore. :X not looking down on legacy players or insulting them...just saying. XD

haha Well if you like it pass it around to friends and FC mates and have them comment their opinions, maybe if we make it a hot thread SE will notice it and give it a thought (or at the very least comment)

As much as I loved the original storyline in 1.0, ultimately, the story of ARR is pretty much a sequel/continuation of it, meaning it would serve no purpose to go back to (not to mention much of what had been planned for 1.0's story in the future was ultimately scrapped when Yoshi took over as producer and director, and made the decision to make ARR, and thus, bring Dalamud down.

So apart from occasional Echo-scenes of life five years earlier, I doubt the 1.0 story will be brought back in full (I'm glad I played 1.0 through to the end of the original storyline for that reason, thus was able to experience it).

I'd love to see dimension travel to the world of ffxi! Shantotto can do it so the technology exists.
