Iirc, they are planning to add them in DF with 2.16, which should be up on Feb 22nd.
In the meanwhile, you should try Party Finder (might have missed it if you haven't played since 2.1 hit), it's under the "Social" tab in your main menu, I see Chimera/Hydra groups forming in there pretty much all the time. Good luck with your relic!
