FFXIV Not responding

I installed and patched my brand new copy of FFXIV yesterday. When I came to play it, it would stop responding after I hit the play button. I changed it to windowed mode and got the same result. I tried changing some settings in the config, such as window size and lowering the graphics options.

I've tried running as administrator in both full screen and windowed mode, but to no avail. I've downloaded the latest DirectX, and that hasn't helped. I looked on the net to see if others have solved this problem, but this has been fruitless.

Throughout all my attempts to get it working, I have managed to get it working up until the title screen, where it then stops responding on the loading screen after you start a new game.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Sounds very much like you are either running on an on-board Intel graphics chip or old drivers.

Start up the FFXIV Config application, click System Information and copy the info here for us to see, so we better can offer up help.

Is this a desktop or laptop?

Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chip Family sound to me like a laptop if it is then you can't play FFXIV on this laptop there noting you can do.

If this is a desktop and have pci express 16 2.0 you can get 440 that can play this game or if you have money 6000s or 560s

Then you pretty much stuck you can't play FFXIV on that you can build a PC for pretty much 300-400$ that can play FFXIV without issue. But that all you can do you need a better computer to run ffxiv /

Sorry for that You should have done some research before buying the game if you have a ps3 you can play when it come out for that it would set you back 60$ tho not if you could find someone who have it for the ps3 and use there CD and you can use the account you just got now.
