I'm not a huge fan of player made polls anyhow![]()
Often the questions are misleading, or there are too many unconsidered variables. And yeah, they're often exclusive of the other language bases (as noted above).
But I still voted![]()

i "Liked" both, since i dont mind using the current AoE toggle, however i would like the buff spells to be "AoE" by default.
(and if they causing enmity, remove it completly)
I used to be Noomy...then i took shiva's Hail Storm to my knee...
[QUOTE=darkstarpoet1;198716]i believe alot of the complaints about the current system have alot to do with people using a controller and not having correct information on how to set them up. there are still button commands i do not know how to do using it. i found a few people in the last thread that did not know the button to open your emote menu did multiple things including toggle aoe off and on, stacking spells in battle regimen, and opening the emote window.
On my controller its Y for all of that not too hard. Xbox 360 setup through default config program. Hopefully they figure something out its not to bad of a system as is I feel but it is laggy alot of the time. Not sure if that warrants needing all those extra spells taking up space. Also until they fix the UI lag its just more dealing with transferring actions around.

Option 2: have enough trouble picking what i need for certain fights and i wont be able reconfigure on the fly with the UI as laggy as it is

I'd prefer a separate AoE toggle rather than having to get another set of AoE spells. However, for the sake of balance, toggling AoE should double the spell's MP cost and maybe double its cast time.
It'll never happen though.
Where is option 3? AKA -aga spells.
that was actually what the entire post was about. would you rather completely remove the system and add double the amount of spells to half your effectiveness or keep the aoe toggle in and tweak using the system in place. i felt it would've been easier to tweak off the system in place with the restrictions we have with what we can equip already.
option 1. remove AOE toggle and replace each spell with multiple versions for an aoe and single target spell. would you like this?
that is the individualized version of it. all the question was is should it be removed completely or just tweaked off the system in place.

I, of all people, shouldn't be a healer. I've fall asleep when I heal. I am seriously the worst healer ever.Option 1, or at least add buffs as AoE only, it's so annoying when you go to cast something like Protect and forget to put AoE on and only hit yourself with the spell. (wasted effort)
Although I don't see why people are against having all spells have AoE version, you aren't supposed to put every spell you own on your action bar, in fact a decent mage will specialise in a certain element anyway.
This is a bad argument IMO, if you are the only mage then perhaps you should consider just healing, sure its boring but if that's what you are there for then you should be specialsing as a healer.
If you want to DD then you should suggest to get another mage for healing.
I'm eager to get rid of AOE toggle solely with the idea that with jobs being implemented white mage will be one. With the ability to AOE heal everyone it makes white mage's potential job quite simple and boring.
It also always bugged me there was no drawback to being able to AOE.
You don't need a reason to help someone~
but with the expecting something that has not been stated will be coming nor the reason for it being pulled it would be more logical to wait and see what the explanation is first. if you expect something and support the change and then find out it is not going to be added then you supported something for no reason. if nothing else i would have stated i wanted to find out more info before judging. by voting on something and supporting it without any reason to believe what you are hoping for is to come is putting faith in a nothing at this point. they did not say they were removing it for aoe specific spells nor for additional classes. people may be hoping that is what it's for, but instead at this point it is something that adds nothing to the game besides alot of clutter to the action bar.I'm eager to get rid of AOE toggle solely with the idea that with jobs being implemented white mage will be one. would you still support it if they said that they were years away from adding it? how about if you find out you supported it and nothing you want to see comes out of it happens? why support anything without knowing anything about the reason for it?
