I would like to see this implemented as well. We can change the transparency of the PS3 chat log. Why not PC? My partner is visually impaired and wonders about this, too. It makes it very hard for him to read the PC log sometimes. I also agree with Aura's idea. An active/passive mode would be really nifty!
