Listen bud I know you want to argue and defend SE..
The plain and simple fact is it doesn't matter if I use WTFAST.
It can not be more obvious the problem is on their end.
You make my head want to explode. You are trying to type intellectually and look cool on the forums but you are not using common sense.......
I have said that it doesnt matter what route I go through. I do and don't deal with latency on all of them so far. I've only been routed 3 different ways from I am seeing.
Can't even reply without editing due to character limits.....Im done with these forums. Probably this game soon if the lag isnt addressed.

FYI: VPNs tunnel traffic better, which means, and this may shock you - it's a route problem, not a server problem. VPNs doesn't magically fix server issues, there's a reason they're called 'tunneling services." The only thing VPNs does is:
1. Allows you to bypass region lockouts
2. Routes your traffic more directly if possible.
3. Connects clients to a private network etc etc.
#2 is why it fixes many issues for people.

Sometimes I have zero issues using WTFAST. Sometimes I don't. When using WTFAST my route does not change much as I go through Boston and then Montreal. My point is that if a VPN is not always helping it has to be their servers. Or are you now going to tell me there is another router elsewhere that only affects FFXIV users. Just stop....
I feel like I am dealing with bads in the PF........
This is ridiculous, I still can''t believe people are trying to say it's not SE or their ISP at this point....

Let me repost so you can reread:
This is why for some people with issues, VPNs fixes it. I only ever get hiccups every now and then but no 'unplayable lag' these days - If what you say is true, everyone would have issues. No exceptions.2. Routes your traffic more directly if possible.
Zero.
It's been long confirmed the issue lies in between you and the datacenter, which for many is Tata and Level3. For some, Sky is having issues with FFXIV.
Probably because if you actually read (which you clearly don't) you would know it's been confirmed it's not SE or their ISP but the biggest issues are level3 and tata, at least for many NA players.
We've been talking about this, and we've been civil. Please refrain from insults and name calling.Holy...wow are you dense?

SE owns none of them. Your excuse is horrible in this case regarding Verizon, Ormuco, and Level 3.
In the case of Verizon in the NE USA. SE pays Ormuco for Data Solutions. Ormuco pays Level 3 for bandwidth. Verizon has a Peering agreement with Level 3.
The problem isn't the Peer Exchange. The Data is getting lost after it in Level 3's network. This is not Verizon's issue. It is between Ormuco and Level 3 but also involves SE as they pay Ormuco.
Right outside the NA DataCenter's internal network:
IP Location: Montreal, Canada Level 3 Communications Inc.
ASN: Canada AS3356 LEVEL3 Level 3 Communications (registered Mar 10, 2000)
Resolve Host: ORMUCO-COMM.car2.Montreal2.Level3.net
IP Address: 4.59.178.74
SE pays Ormuco. SE customers are affected by Ormuco/Level 3. We don't complain to them SE does as they pay them for the service.
As far as other ISPs and different routing idk. I'm only familiar with what I can test.
"Show me proof Verizon owns SE, Ormuco and Level 3." - Don't plz cause I would never ask this. The internet isn't magic SE gets for free.
Moving along...
I see, I put you in a corner and now because I used the term dense to describe your reply I am insulting you? It's not an insult ...it's a fact. Just re-read it. You keep trying to explain to me how a VPN works.... You can go ahead and report me now bud. I know you want to. You don't have to reply to post where customers are complaining about lag. you just want to point fingers and argue. You are subtly trolling.
The post above me has the answer you are looking for. If you keep replying with nonsense I am gonna report you for trolling.

I experience on and off issues, most days i'm fine but every few weeks i'll have a day or two where I rubberband out the ass. I guess i'll count my blessings that that's all I get, but my girlfriend whom I play with experiences far more constant issues. Whenever we want to play it feels like we have to pray to another RNG god: the one determining whether the servers are going full retard that day or not. It's been months now and it's getting ridiculous.
