PS3 Launcher Issue

Okay, I'm a bit miffed here with this game and Square Enix.

A.)Version 1.0 was launched and didn't work right for years on my pc with constant crashing, memory leaks etc.

B.)Apparently you become such a distaste to the general publich and Square Enix that you are rebuilt as ver 2.0 ARR. At launch of 2.0 Enix decides to lock down the worlds so that friends may not create toons on the same worlds unless you happen to catch that world briefly open for a slight second and with no announcement of world transfers in the near future.

So I gave up on the PC version, months later I'm convinced I should give the game another try so I buy it for the PS3. It's a console so I'd imagine things like instalation would be ironed out.

So now after 2 days of attempts, I have reinstalled this game 3 times with x number of reboots, port forwards of every port for the PSN and FFXIV that I can find.

Nother works I am consistently trapped in this loop of the launcher for the PS3 trying to download an update and my download speeds begining around 1mb per second then around 50mb downloaded to 700mb downloaded (its random and each time I reboot it changes) the launchers download speed starts to fall steadily until it hits 0 mb per second and then a black screen with this error.

"Unable to download patch files. [20512][10009][19900][-2140076253]"

I can only hit ok, after that it tries to launch the launcher again.

SOMETIMES it works, other times I'm asked to enter a promo code or sometimes I'm signed out of PSN and have to reboot the playstation 3 to get things to log in and retry.

I have made sure to delete all data under game saves folders for the PS3 after uninstalling before I attempted to reinstall.

Please for the love of god someone offer me some advice this is crazy and if Enix can't fix this they should offer a refund.

Note: My character that is referenced as my main character is from my 1.0 days before I gave up playing because of the constant crashes and memory leaks.

Update: I've gotten the problem resolved... so to those who might have a similar problem. It had to do with the ports, apparently the ports I had found for FFXIV were incorrect.

The ports that need opened forwarded are: 54992-54994,55006-55007,55021-55040 all of these are TCP.

Once I did this, I was able to download the patch and log into the game and play without any errors.
