    Fate Grinding

This is not a rant or rave, just more of an observation..

Before 2.1, before the changes to the FATE system's difficulty depending on how many people int he area are doing the FATEs, and the Roulette system with EXP bonuses, I would dedicate 2 day, Friday and Saturday leveling alts so I could be "future proof" with the new classes out. It would usually take 36 to 42 hours of constant fate grinding to achieve 1 to 50 for me at least. I was able to get 4 out of the 8 classes to 50 with relative ease. As much as i found it cheap, it was easy for me to just focus at the task at hand and get what I wanted out of it.

After 2.1 with all the changes I took the PLD and the WAR to 50. Tried my all nighter method and well, 1 to 37 was all i was able to obtain, and then through out the week when i returned from doing EG on my main class, it was just a slow, energy draining grind. Took about 8 days for the WAR and after doing the roulette with my PLD only took 6.

Now I'm not complaining, i just have to take the CNJ and the LNC up to 50 now, and those classes, woa, boring to play for me but again I want to be "future proof".

It seems to me that even with the Roulette system in place, they seemed to want us to level alts pre 2.1 and now with 2.1 they want us to focus on a main class and not worry about alts anymore.

This was just my opinion and theory. Thoughts? Advice on faster leveling to finish my last 2 classes?

    Thank for reading

They didn't change FATE exp at all, they only boosted Dungeon exp and added the roullette. It only seems longer to FATE grind now because less people are doing it.

I changed my OP because i was typing trying to get it all out in one shot. The whole concept of "if 30 people at this fate, 20 people teleport away, and 10 stay, the fates are going to be buffed for 30 people not 10, and you gotta wait for them to 'reset' "

At around 3am my time when next to no one is on the server except maybe 8 people in the area I'm grinding in, I can solo a fate no problem. It's when theres so many people, the fates take so long, is what I'm talking about. Sorry for the mistake i made in the OP.

The only reason people arent doing FATEs as much now is because of how it was changed. Now, if 30 players were involved in the previous FATE, the next FATE would be scaled to become so that u either had to have 30 or more people to complete it efficiently. The scaling also made it extremely inefficient exp-wise as you can now be doing 1 FATE for at least 5-10mins even with the expected numver of people. So even if the exp wasnt directly decreased, the ability to gain exp over time with FATEs has dropped tremendously
