My understanding of PS4 Beta

Wow, why do they remove PS3 access if you upgrade? That seems extremely unfair. I'm honestly pretty angry that they're doing this. So much for the "free" upgrade.

This is like buying a computer that comes with a free upgrade from a 1tb hd to a 2tb hd and being mad that they took out the original 1tb hd.

Why would want to play on the PS3 once you had the PS4 version? It's the same situation as PC<-->PS3. You need to have a reg. code for both PC and PS3 to play on both. Not sure why. FFXI never had that restriction. Just a money grab I suppose.

This. I bought expansion packs for PC. Friend got them for PS2. Both of us had a code to activate on our accounts. We installed, traded disks, installed, traded back.

No idea why game companies want us to pay twice for the same game. Its up there with PC games coming out 6-10 months after consoles and still charging us the (console taxed) 60$.

Upgrade will not happen till the ps4 version goes live. It's already been said like that before. 2nd if you want to play on ps3 and ps4 back and forth (not at same time) then spend the $39.99 and buy a ps4 copy. If not then enjoy the upgrade when it comes out. During the beta you don't even have to be a current sub to get in. Just have a ps4 and you are in the seat. Look over the past letter from producer live and some translations from Reinheart I am sure the info is in there somewhere. If not wait for SE to spell it out. Just try not to hit the panic but just yet. For now enjoy your ps3 and when the ps4 release date is here enjoy that too. Just remember if you want ps3 and ps4 you have to actually buy the ps4 copy and not free upgrade.
